Seems lots of people want clubs unlocked by tier rather than level as was the case before the level system was introduced. If this happens will those of us who had to grind our way up to level 90, buying each set of clubs along the way, get some kind of reimbursement for our commitment to the game and to your site?

Much real money invested here and not one level up boost or choco bar used along the way.... legend at level 30 and weary from the grind!

    JaLaBar:

I have posted this a number of times, as to why there is no driving range (or putting green).  But I will again:

What balls will you use at the driving range?  I'd imagine the range will only provide starter balls for free.  Will you use up Nikes or Callaways (believe me, the range will use ball durability)?  Take the chance on hitting your ball OB at the range and losing it?  Or pay for a bucket of balls?  I don't know about you, but I don't have enough disposable income to waste $1.50 golf balls whacking them at the range.  Now, I suppose the range could have a simulator where you could select the type of golf ball you can use.  But, I guarantee you WGT isn't going to let you whack their Nikes and Callaways around for free.  So I don't think we'll get a driving range because practically, the way it would have to be set up, few would use it.

Similar issue with a putting green.  WGT doesn't want ANYONE perfecting putting for free.  So if there were a putting green, either of two things would happen:  Either you would have to pay to use it (by time or number of strokes) OR ball durability will be taken when putting on it.  Now again, I am not going to pay to putt when I can practice it free on the course without using up my ball.  So again, novel idea.... people would try it, but it would fall into disuse.

if there's a driving range, one can simply choose to use it or not .. simple .. there's some that will use practise rounds or play single hole .. & there are those that will use the practice range .. free balls or own balls, ur choice .. again, simple

One thing I didn't like or see the sense of in regards to the latest CC update was that you now can't see who created the CC tournament and who has signed up. You also can't see the conditions and green speed at first glance . . . you have to sign up first. Was there a reason for this and would you consider changing it back?

Can we have an easier way of posting a scorecard? At the moment we have to go through the long-winded process of using Photobucket or similar website to be able to copy the link to post it . . . would be far easier to just copy and paste the scorecard . .

Any possibility of more stats being available on a players profile. I suppose this uses up too much server space.

I'd love to see what my best 9's and 18's are on each course, it will provide incentives to better those scores. I'd love to see an average per hole score on every hole of every course as well.

Oh, and a few more giveaway and promotions please. I thought that 'Nations' would help in that area.

It would be great to find some balls in the rough again. An excellent treat, but only used once.

Chuck us a sleeve when we level up past 90 - L93, L97, L100 for example. An incentive to keep going. Like many others I have found my love for the game waning. My main role seems to be getting the credit card out to sponsor players in my CC. A little something back occasionally would be nice.

No generic driving range would show you lets say that a drive with full back spin would clear the big tree on # 4 @ CCC or Big tree on # 5 or #10 @ Olympic. Or a drive with full topspin would go under the big tree on #5 @ Olympic. Those you just have to learn on the course during play.

In real life there are mainly 3 reasons people go to a driving range.

#1 to loosen up before a round. Here there is no need to loosen up.

#2 to work out a kink in their swing. Here our swing is a good as it is going to get. No matter how many shots you might hit on a driving range it is not going to improve your ability to hit the ding.

#3 to get rid of some frustration by busting the ball a hard as you can. Here if i'm frustrated I just sign off for a while.

In short a generic driving range would be in my opinion a waste of WGT's resources that could be better spent else where.

#4 not to hold up other players on the course while testing something, from length of shot to spin effects. Void here in single play.

i agree with your points, but only to an extent .. here are mine:

    1. a driving range with target greens spread out over intermittent distances serve a lot of purposes:

    A) testing of new equipment & how they behave with diffirent balls

    B) practising shots with balls of choice under various wind conditions; said conditions which players can determine themselves

    2. i usually play a practice hole or 2 to "loosen up" my trigger finger when i'm using the Burners .. i think this is valuable & some might prefer doing this instead of playing a practice round or hole

    3. call it a testing range then rather than a "driving range" .. i know that, speaking for myself, i will use such a range before i play a ranked round .. every time

    4. this request will not go away .. it keeps on being asked for; not only by starter players, but by more experienced players also ... it doesn't have to be fancy or photoreal, just a range with say at least 5 target greens at +- 50yd intervals up to 250yds ... how hard could that be ?

    5. it will benefit WGT in terms of equipment rental & ball sales if a player chooses to test or practice equipment using their balls of choice; as i would do

    6. it becomes a simplified atlernative to playing practice rounds; especially to those who want to practice approach shots at diffirent distances under a variety of conditions

and i can carry on .. but i think these are reason enough
