Here is my take on the whole thing.......  I think the deviation, or VEM ,what ever it is, is set into groups, in other words the players that have a avg in the 50-59 have less , than the player's 60-65, and the y have less than the player's 65-70, and this deviation happens 90% of the time on the approach shot. You just have to get thru it and move on.

I also would say on the( ready to go) tour. they should show the leaderboard before you start  then when you want to play and you see scores in the 50's you just don't play.

what that  would do is only players that shoot in the 50's would play and they would have trouble filling the 50 player rule. Then WGT would have to change the rules or create a rule that  50 shooters play only other 50 shooters. I know myself when I look at leaderboards and I see golfers in the 50's I just don't play. I'm a master with an average of around 66 I play everday and I just can' see how someone could shoot in the low 50's in my case it takes away the enjoyment of the game and I'm thinking of quiting.

    My 2 cents

Who really gives a flying flip? The serious gamers will always find a way to master the game. Honestly or otherwise. Look at the stats, especially the number of games played. This is how some people spend there entire existence. I can only imagine the stacks of notes they have to slice and dice every hole. They live to win on a virtual golf game. Chances are, the majority of these WGT phenoms couldn't hit a real golf ball 200 yards. When you have played thousands of games on here, you can't spend much time on a real course. I have never played a round on here for money, credits or whatever. It took me a long time to reach Legend and that was all I needed. Since making Legend, I have not played as many rounds on here as I used to in 2 weeks. If WGT wants to muck things up, so some people will think it is more fair, it won't bother me at all. When I use the C word in my posts, it stands for circumvent, not the other word. I would like to pass on a friendly invite to all the players who constantly shoot in the low 50's and win all the prizes. If your ever in the Atlanta, Ga. area, look me up. I would enjoy playing a real round with ya. The drinks will be on me. You'll have to use real golf clubs though, there is no keyboard and mouse in my golf cart. Oh, this invite goes for anyone, regardless of how good or bad you are on WGT. Let's play some golf.

LOL This game is starting to look like TWO. With all the 50's being shot lately.

I can tell you the VEM doesn't lessen when your average is below 59. If anything i see a lot more of it.

This is a video game folks. Plain and simple.

I played some primitive version of this on a Sega system in the early nineties....It really aint much different other than the graphics are better on this modern day game. There is still got some real glitchy stuff happening with golfer half in and half out of the bunker and stuff like that.....making shots that are physical impossibilities. I would hazard a guess  that much more work would have to go into software enhancements that might  cover most "golf course eventualities".

Much effort by the creators of this game  have gone into making it as "real as possible", however...

The fact is...... if you want a "real golf experience" you need to get off your duff, pick up your bag and head out to your local club.

I think the VEM doesn't change as your average gets lower.  On the whole, I think people in the 50s with averages may be more equipped dealing with it then a higher average player. For instance.

Such as longer putts or off green play.  If a person is a great putter then the added distance won't be that much of an issue.  Also with off green play, I think many of use prefer 1 of the following more than the other 2 (Chips, pitches and flops). Not every green calls for a person's preference and if you use the wrong type of shot then that could cost someone a stroke or 2.

Just my take but I can assure you that VEM has always been there from when I started noticing to now.
