    I viewed it until the Scotts bird on 14 - thought it was settled then.

    Ernies hunt was tremendous until then and I regret to have missed his and Tigers birds at 18. Alas, Scotts meltdown would have spoiled the fun.

    Congrats to Ernie!

    I rather played the STA Championship, alas parred 18 :)

    IMO Scott lost it on the first 10-12 holes (or some of them).

    The reporters said the greens were 1 ft slower on the stimpmeter than before, and Scott seemed to be the one of the top players who could not adapt to this. He left at least 4 putts short in that stretch before he had the first one to pass the hole. One of these might have given him enough cushion & confidence to survive the last four holes, two would have made it anyway.

    Someone actually bet $70 at 469-1 on Els when Scott was 4 up with 4 to play. Amazing longshot bet that netted the bettor $32,830.
