Why are we so good at cycling?

I think the reason is,   they got sick of the Aussies beating you all the time....lol.

Not just cycling, also Rowing and of course Cricket (but that's another story)...grrr....lol

They took the mold from us and pushed a heap of money into the sports.

Got Aussie coaches to train em.

Now we have to follow that or be left behind standing still...lol. Like we are now :)

    Cheers

    Opening ceremony.....cool!!!

Yea, the opening ceremony was fantastic but expensive...34 million Euros is a lot to spend on pageantry in a time of global recession..

    Women,s penthalon ,

You swim for 20 miles , cycle for 20 miles and then run for 10,000 metres and what was the result - a deadheat , unbelievable .
