    SPINO1:

    MAYBE.... A TEAM 54-58 AVG

                      B TEAM 58.1 - 62

                     C TEAM 62.1 - 65

IF A COMP NEEDS TO BE RUN TO SEE WHO GETS IN OR IF YOU DESIGNATE 3 CAPTAINS ?

WOULD BE NICE TO SEE DIFFERENT GUYS COMPETING !

Hard to manage it this way currently with averages fluctuating up and down for all players. For instance a Tour legend who currently averages 60 may well have been a 57 average legend. If this is done in 2-3 months time, this point will be less of an issue.

Also if someone's been inactive for a period of time (like Hans for instance) but is widely known to be one of the best players in the game, you'd be putting that person in the wrong group.

Best way of managing it IMO is to run the normal qualifying process as the previous three RC's have had and then if there's a sufficient demand, you can run 2-3 comps from the players dependent on the position the come in the qualifying process. For instance:

    1 - 10 + two picks = Ryder Cup 1

    11 - 20 + two picks = Ryder Cup 2

    21 - 30 + two picks = Ryder Cup 3

Going from memory, you normally get around 30-40 players sign-up for qualification for a RC event but this maybe a way of getting more interest as there would be a greater chance of making a team.

Remember though that running one RC alone is a big task; getting 2-3 competitions done consecutively would be a fairly mammoth undertaking...

Really like that idea Jimbean.  I could never dream of getting in to a competition like this, but seeing new names involved is always a bonus.

I like the idea of jimbean. I would love to ask everyone who wants to help me with the organization of this big event to write down in this thread or write me a personal message. I hope for at least two helping people.

    Cheers everyone,

    Hans

I'd be in but to be honest with you I'd take the teams from the Tour Legends.... I think that would simplify things.

Well, guys, I think there will be a qualifying session (as in the past years), so everyone - Legend and Tour Legend, I'd say - will be able to be into the RC Event.

I'd suggest to take into account the weekly 18-Hole Single Play: 8 weeks would be nice to me to have fair teams selection. And Monthly Open could be another course to play.

The main issue, at the moment, is how to handle the qualifying process for Tour Legend, as there aren't weekly tourneys.

Wk 36 is now available for Tour Legends.  I believe wk-35 was an oversight.

Well, famous last words. It was an open-and-shut case :)
