I know that, in WGT you can't repeat twice the same results, yet in the puzzle the question is simple: what club are you going to use, how long you will push the ball, how you will manage to go straight to the hole, what set of clubs and balls are you using. I think that if you tell me how do you behave in those conditions I will improve my experience on WGT.
I may have misunderstood your request. I was thinking you were looking for a one-size-fits-all answer instead of devising a scenario for everyone to think about, comment on, and learn from since several different ways to play the same shot will come to light.
That's a 'puzzle' thread I can get on board with.
150 degrees is slightly quartering, but mostly helping, right? If so, I feel the shot will play about 90yds with some helping wind to knock spin off the ball. I don't know the hole specifically so can't attest to the slope of the green or any humps/valleys where my ball may land. But, I may play one of two shots.
1- 95yd wedge with full backspin but hitting at only 95%-ish power. I don't have a specific amount to aim while accounting for wind, but I'm aiming a bit right and planning to hit the ding, but miss it right before I miss it left.
2- If I have plenty of green in front of the flag, I may look at punching it and letting it run out towards the hole since there won't be a lot of run out with the wedge anyway and my 'full' shot may still feel like an awkward yardage being that I have to back off the meter a touch.
Oh, this is using the 200 credit Tour-W wedge...54 degrees, I believe. And, the WGT Tour-S ball as a L68 Master.
