My tier level went from Tour Master to Legend and stroke average from just under 61 to 68 overnight (just after the WGT update, too - perhaps related?). I played one round of 18 this morning and stroke average is now at 64.5, but still shows me as Legend. I reported this to WGT but thought I'd start this thread to see if anyone else has had this problem.

I wonder if part of the update was a quiet update to the qualifications for the Legend level. If that is the reason, congratulations on your promotion.

Looks like your round of 29 made you Legend on Aug 28th. Your "activity" in your profile supports this:

    28 Aug
JackMack moved up to the Legend tier.

    Congrats!

At that moment the average was reset, the 1st 34 (x2 = 68) resulted in "average" 68 and the last 61 brings it to 64.5.
You have played these two results in tourneys which you entered as a TM, thus under TM conditions. Once you enter a new tourney or game you will experience the different green speed.

    Have fun!

Big DUH on my part. For some reason I thought I'd gone DOWN a tier, not UP! YIPPEE! I finally made Legend! Sorry for the confusion on my part. I think I'll just try to run in stealth mode and not post any more threads down the road. LOL!

My tier level went from tour pro to master. I had a stroke average of 66.2.My first round as master actually was one of my best, 6 under on the front nine of pinehurst. Then my stroke average was set back to 72?? I guess this is a fault. Could you please check and eventually fix this, please.

    Nicht ganz ;)

Preliminaries: Please refer to scores in strokes, not +-Par, for average purpose!

    Look at your score history:

That 29 on Pinehurst was your last game as a TP - a splendid 58 (=2x29)
    to tier you up.

    Congratulations!

At that moment, we get an inconsistent display which confuses many:
It shows "Master", but the last TP average is indicated. Furthermore, the numbers are reset, and the next round (a 36=>72) resulted in a 72 average of one score, as displayed now.

Nothing to check nor to fix this time ;)

    Viel Spaß!!

What I dont understand now, is that my stroke average doesnt change, I dont get the algorithm, when I played a couple of rounds under par and keepstaying at 68.30. LasttimeI played a -4 on nine holes St. Andrews and it even wetn from 68.25 back to 68.30. Are you kidding??

Moving from tier to tier requires a certain number of ranked rounds. Once you've hit that number you will be ' saturated '.

Until you become saturated your average will go up and down depending on your scores. After saturation your average will only go down.

My guess about your average going up after a -4 at St. Andrews is that you've had better rounds there. Just a guess tho. With WGT one can never tell.
