When one has to forfeit for whatever unforeseen reason, does it count against you too ? Or does it only relate to disconnects ?

I'd bet no, Chris, simply because there's an actual winner in a forfeit.

Ok, enough is enough! Fifteen minutes ago our foursome was on the first green. Dude quits and the three of of us begin the 5 minute wait for him to return. The clock was down to 1:45 and a second player quit. Now, we were back to the 5 minute clock again. And yes, you guessed it... the 3rd player quit. That left just me so I closed out.

Then, when I came back on it asked me the usual "want to quit or continue?" I continued and it took me to my chip shot from the fringe on the 1st Green. As soon as I was ready to swing, a message popped up saying there was a problem and to try again.

So, I closed out and came back in again... then as soon as I was ready to hit my ball the message came up again that there was a problem and to come back. So, I did. And once again as soon as I was ready to swing it told me the same thing.... so, I closed out, came back in and it said "You are disqualified for quitting three times"

    WTF??????????

Hyena you are not correct there.

You start at 90% with 3 quits as your first 3 games and 27 completed for the 30 games.

If you play 3 and finish you get to 100%.  If you then play 1 and get disconnected you are at 97% and can't get back to 100% for 29 more games.

I've just had 3 straight disconnects in blitz that freezes the game, down to 83%.

    mnshiner:

The 97% means you are going up in completed games. And yes if by no fault of your own something happens to the game you will see a drop in that percentage. Your partner quits you get screwed.

Your opponent quits you get screwed, too.

It does but count uncompleted games, regardless of the reason.

Now if game forfeits (by the rules!) drop the average of the loosing team, it's wrong IMO.

Regarding the sequence I agree to Tarheel from what I read. Three good games delete the starter value, any further drop needs 30 games to recover.

    Edit:

It's not only Blitz causing headaches, the new programming of MP stroke play seems to prohibit completion of the game once there is a disconnection.

If you manage to finish, o.k.

Alas, in games with a partner (as quoted by me) you will not be able to continue without him nor without a complete team of opponents.

As far as I heard, if one of the opposing party in an AS game quits without properly conceding the game, it will be "incomplete" for the four of them, dropping the average.
