  Just saw Curiosity(Mars Rover) this morning, crusing the Legend Tees at Congressional....I know the Tee Box's are way out there, but come on!

  That was a cool video to bad no credits..lol..Is there gravity on Mars?..Does it take gravity for a Parachute to work? Just some thoughts..Thanks for the video!!

  Yes,but much lower than here.From watching 'The Sky at Night' (go Sir Patrick) 62% lower..eg: A person weighing 100kg would weigh 38kg there...& yes no gravity = no air resistance..suppose you could make it work in fluid or some external force...Andy

  Mars does have a tiny atmosphere, so there was enough resistance for the parachute to work to a degree. Not enough to land a craft of that weight, so they copied the Martians and used something that looks like it's come out of 'War of the Worlds'.

  Honestly, I didn't have to 'Google' any of that :)
