Well, just wanted to ADD this......I personally have made at least (2) putts (a 98 ft. & a 53 ft.putt) that were one of the 9 holes on OTHER CTTH challenges.  And, those (2) putts were counted by WGT on my total of CTTH "Hole In Ones" or ACES - in the Awards section.

So......I guess I was originally just "wondering"......WHY....WGT wasn't including any "Hole In Ones" I made on the "WGT Best of Putting Shots".......same difference, isn't it?

And everyone does have (2) different Awards for "Hole In Ones" in their Award section....one for "ranked rounds"....ACEs from the tee box.....and a different award for ACES for CTTH challenges.  WHY would WGT even create the 9 hole Putting Challenge......where the object is to get the ball "close to the hole".....and then not give people credit for dropping those putts.........again, just wondering.

With all due respect to you "mara43".......you're also a LEGEND (with a lower avg. & better stats than I have....for sure).....but, with only (1) CTTH Hole In One & none on ranked play.....maybe ACES are no big deal to you....but, they are to me.  Making ACEs is just another FUN & exciting aspect of play here on WGT.

I realize that in PGA play......fairway & chip shots are not considered "Hole In Ones"....but, this is WGT.......and WGT set up an Award for CTTH - ACES......so, at least here........they do count.

mmmm.........I was simply agreeing with Tarheels comment regarding the non recording of 'Aced' putts as HIOs but was adding that CTTH Ace's should also not be treated as HIOs as they would in real golf.

But I should have added, to be a bit clearer in what I was saying, that it might be a nice addition if WGT could separately record CTTH Aces in one's Statistics, in addition to the Awards , but not be recorded as HIOs.

The basis of my comment had absolutely nothing to do with what tier I am in or whether my stats are better/worse than the next guy.......I agree with you that 'Aces' are another fun element & that it is fun game (god help those who take it too seriously.....!!!) and when it comes to Stats........well everyone to their own.

    Happy Acing.....

I do "apologize" to you.....I meant absolutely no disrespect towards you or anything you said in your comment.  I do appreciate your insight here.

I was just now looking back at a couple of ACES I hit......because, I was wanting to see WHERE I hit them from.  At least (1) of those ACES was hit from the Championship (black) tee....I believe it was 210 yards - it's that Par 3 early on at Bethpage Black.  The other ACE, was from (I think, the white tee box) at the #10 Hole at Congressional - the shot across the pond...because, I used a 3 Iron, not a wood to make that ACE....both of those were CTTH ACES.

But, there is a DIFFERENCE (as I think you were pointing out).......making ACE during "ranked play".....on a Par 3 from the tee box......and making an ACE in CTTH play are two different situations.  On CTTH challenges, you really do get more opportunities to pick up those ACES....by just playing the various CTTH courses over and over.  With "ranked rounds"....you have to play 9 or 18 holes and wait for those Par 3 hole opportunities to come along.  I've manged ONLY (1) ranked round ACE......those, I believe are just naturaly going to be much more diffcult to get than the CTTH ACEs.

    So..........I AGREE with you.........GOOD POINT!

Thanks again for your input here.

In my opinion an ace is not an ace unless you've hit from the tee box. 95% of these CTTH shots are from the rough or fairway. So it's not an ace. It's a holed approach shot.

Actually, there is already an award for this shot: go to your Profile and click on Awards. Scroll down to #12 on the list and you'll find "Holes-In-One C-T-T-H Courses". Tin is 1, Bronze is 5, Silver is 25, Gold is 50, Platinum is 100, Crystal is 250 and Diamond is 500.

Yeah there are 2 awards for aces / hole in ones.

The first is the traditional hole in one which has to happen in a ranked stroke play round and can occur on a par 3, 4 or 5 (in theory).

The CTTH / Blitz aces has an award as well for 'aces' these are holed shots in the CTTH / Blitz games but not during the blitz putting challenge which I agree with.

I have the Platinum award I think in the CTTH version with around 120 aces and I think I have 6 hole in ones, not sure which award that is.  I think I might not make it to the diamond award.

The awards are somewhat strange, probably 1/3 of them should be thrown out.  Some of the others are easy to achieve, while some are impossible.  It would be nice to see WGT take a look at these and make a few adjustments, eliminations and add some more.

Still would love to see a stats board that shows us all the leaders in these things.

Yup. My point is that you get the same award for a chip in from 6 yards as you do for a hole in one off the tee. I've never had a hole in one in stroke play so it's frustrating that the one above only counts as a CTTH ace.

That said I will probably survive...
