A hole in one in virtual golf or real golf is something special.  I have four in real golf and currently 6 on WGT.  I think I have roughly 120 in CTTH / Blitz.

I will never feel that a shot in blitz should count as a true hole in one.  There are blitz shots that range from 6 yards to 230 yards so even the blitz aces are not created equal but since you can play the blitz shots over and over you tend to make them more often.

In a ranked stroke play round, you get four shots in 18 holes (well a few places have par fours that can be aced) and you only play a round in an hour or so.  The shots vary as the pins change, the wind changes, etc. so it is always more of a thrill to ace one of those holes than even the toughest blitz holes.

You'll get your first hole in one soon.  I had none for 2 years and made 3 in less than a month, including 2 in one day on 5 and 17 at Kiawah.

Just scored my second CTTH HIO - this time from 203 yards. I'll get one in stroke play one day...

I started playing 12.21.11 and didn't get my first hio untill 9.15.12. That's only 11 days ago.

I didn't think I would ever get one - but suddenly it came out of the blue. On St. Andis #11.

Also have 2 aces in CTTH. Only 2 - cuz I don't play CTTH much. And I don't consider CTTH aces as "true" holes in one either. In most of those - to be where you are when game window opens for your shot - you would have used 1-2 strokes to be where you are on the course.

Besides the fact, that you can make those attempts over and over again. Each time improving your chances of getting in the cup.

Well......Aces in "ranked rounds"....really are difficult!  I've only made (1)....within 3 inches of my 2nd last week.  I think I've now played 700 "ranked rounds".

Have played a LOT of CTTH challenges.....find these fun & you really do have to play each CTTH several times to get those low scores.  Play them enough times....and you'll get some ACES.  I have learned.....that IF you do not complete CTTH (all 9 holes) and you hit an ACE....it won't be recorded on your Awards section.  Officially, I have 23 CTTH Aces.....but, there were others, plus approx. 25 in the WGT Best of Putting Shots....but, WGT doesn't give us credit for those Hole In Ones......wish they would....hey, try sinking that 260 foot putt...not easy - but, I have managed to sink it twice.  Have sunk 5 of those 9 putts....still working on the others...ha!  I do wish, however, that WGT would move those holes around on that 9 hole putting challenge.

And, I know......the CTTH Aces really aren't "true Aces".......but, don't tell me that Aces on CTTH challenges are a piece of cake....some people have very few of them.  I think the CTTH challenges are fun....and a change of pace from playing  9 or 18 hole ranked rounds.

They are true aces if they're off the tee as far as I'm concerned.

I tend to agree......ACES hit from the tees should be considered a "true Ace"......though, I know, WGT has a different Award for "ranked round Aces" & "CTTH Aces".

I know I have hit at least (10) Aces from the TEES on CTTH challenges....including:  Congressional Hole #10 (131 yds.)......The early Part 3 @ Bethpage Black (210 yds.).....the 9th Hole @ Wolf Creek (221 yds. I believe).....Whistler's Hole #4 (160 yds. - 3 times on that hole.  Since we can save ONLY 10 of our favorite shots, I send all of my favorite shots.....hole in ones, best eagles, long difficult putts....to my personal e-mail address.

As I mentioned before.......the WGT Best of Putting Shots...it's in the category on the WGT menu as "CTTH".....closest to the hole challenge.  But, WGT doesn't give us credit for sinking ANY of those 9 putts.....even though, when you do sink one, the score card says "ACE"...0.00 distance from the hole.  My Tarheel friend....I know has made 8 out of those 9 holes........I have now made 5 of the 9.  And it would be interestng...IF, WGT would move those 9 holes to DIFFERENT locations EVERY month.  This 9 hole putting course is also very cool to play as a BLITZ....but, the fastest "green speed" you can select is "very fast".....and I'm just used to "Tournament speed" greens....and they are a bit faster.  I just have problems putting on "green speeds" slower than "Tournament" speed.

Strictly personal opinion, but I don't see a CTTH ace, even from the tee, as the same as an ace during regular play.  You have the opportunity to play the hole over and over with only 8 intervening shots, with the only variable being the wind.

How many shots do you have to shoot to get back to some specific par-3 on some other specific course, in stroke play?

Bubba...of course, you're entitled to your opinion on this issue of CTTH Aces.......and, wih all due respect, you have played many CTTH tournaments & challeges and have (3) CTTH Aces vs. (2) "ranked round" Aces.

Even with the opportunity to play the CTTH challanges multiple times (and yes, the wind speed & direction changes).....remember, the hole is still the SAME diameter...lol.  It's NOT easy to make an Ace on any of those holes on any CTTH course.  Even those 9 putts on WGT Best of Putting Putts.....none of those are a piece of cake either.  I have played other members in BLITZs...and have seen members struggle to get their balls even close.  And this really isn't the PGA, so, WGT is giving us credit for hole in ones for CTTH Aces......it' a computer game.

I think too...any member can play the SAME 9 hole course over and over and have several opportunities for a Hole in One on those Par 3 holes.  Even some of the Par 4 holes are potential Hole In One's...with some wind a your back (i.e., St. Andew's).

Well, Best of Luck to you......looks like you're VERY CLOSE to becoming a LEGEND!
