  Four rounds strokeplay, that was clearly stated and understood. My former question was superfluous - all explained in post #2. You're doing a gr8 job, Corwyn!

  As for Hans, I'd like to step up in his defence since the wording by the Rules is very sensible and full of traps. Opponent, competitor (Gegner, Mitbewerber in German) - a foreigner may easily mix them up.

  German starter lists may errantly name "matches" in strokeplay, and I once created a running gag when, on my first round with some English friends, I offered
  "to operate the flag" (we say "bedienen" - tend or operate...)

  Hilariously good post, i like you =)

  But to be honest, I just didn't think about what I was typing there being well aware of the stroke play format. Not sure why the word opponent found it's way into the post =) I honestly hope that my soon-to-be-friend ( =) ) will accept my friend request soon or at least react to the tournament wall post. We will see ;)

  Sorry my ISP hasn't got the telecommunications wherewithal to handle such multiplayer rounds. But enjoy the tourney!

  Are you all managing to schedule your games? Please look at this grid to see if my guesses about what 'Night', 'Evening', 'Afternoon' etc really mean in terms of your hours are accurate. If not, please communicate via this thread, and we can make some switches if needed.

  I have to admit, the grid of playing times blew me away. Great way to pair up players like in a real Tourney. We get assigned partners to play our games with.

  We have 2 late entrants: Spino1 and Undertaker3663: You're in!

  ... and there's a minor change to the pairings: turned out Malcolm's 'Night' in Argentina was too late for Cerino's 'Evening' on the East Coast, so Malcolm, you're now playing with Undertaker3663 (Steve), and Cerino, you're now playing with Spino1 (Stu).

  Anyone else having scheduling difficulties, please say so in this thread. From what I can tell, it's just Dazza and Hyena that need to make contact.

    Pretty tough time we had towards the end once ss's were being taken. Disconnected 3-4 times. On the last disconnect, I just did get back in with 21 secs left on timer!!

  We've made contact. I offered to play over the weekend but didn't see each other. Hopefully play sometime this week.
