Sorry for hijacking the op's post....lol. Thought it was starting to get a bit heated.
Green speeds are set to the highest tier in ranked rounds. Something about practice games gives me the shivers, so I usually avoid em.
As you move through the Tiers you get the hang of the greens speeds, playing against people a one or two tiers higher is not that bad...... but there is a huge difference when you play on Champ greens. Fast to Tourny is not that bad, but Fast to Champ can be a huge shock to the system. When you do reach the higher levels, you should be able to putt on any green speed.... well, most of the time...lol
I tell everybody in my cc to play comps in a higher level so they get the hang of the green speeds, that's why Champs should be included in CC's too.
