I hate to admit it but I was betting on Europe to win. My best friend and I had green fees riding on the outcome. Saturday night he called me after the Sunday pairings came out and I tripled the bet. I have three free rounds of real-life golf coming.

The U.S. team played well; the European team just plain won it. All the passion shifted late in the day Saturday and I didn't see the U.S. taking it back on Sunday.

An amazing Ryder Cup, Poulter i thought was the man of the hour, but i very much enjoyed watching the pairing of Mickelson and Keegan.

The American crowd ruined it a little for me, Golf can be considered the last bastion of 'gentlemanly" sport, and the Americans have kind of defiled this.

Also to the comment about the golf being inducted into the next olympics in Rio (which is happening) i think this is a bad decision. As an avid Olympic fan (attended the last 3 Olympic games) and Golf fan, it takes away from the glory of the olympic gold, if you lose people will say oh its not The Open or Masters, who cares, as they did with tennis when Murray won, the Federer camp said oh who cares its not a grand slam, give him one (jest, but still some truth). The Olympics should be reserved for sports where without a shadow of a doubt it is the greatest achievement in that sport. In football, golf and tennis there is a bigger prize some might say and it kind of takes away from the glory and concept of the games.

Yeah the Bird man! I remember. The guys that started crowing during the Bob Costas interview with the U.S. Open winner Webb Simpson.

Speaking of Webb Simpson, I thought that guys play was horrible, I hate to say that.

He shanked that tee shot off into the hotdog stand. He puked out on I don't know how many chips.I'd of liked to seen Ricky Fowler as a pick.

I would like to say that this was the best reason to watch golf..this excitement and the pressure..amazing. being a Euro comeback on US soil this is bigger than brookline to me. however, i think the main culprit here concerning the players was stricker (and maybe even woods). stricker literally contributed nothing to the team, and woods didn't help much either. a lot of ppl said Love III made the right choice with the captain's picks, but if he had left stricker out and gotten say Mahan in..who knows?

some 'fans' take it too seriously, but, there's idiots everywhere. Personally, I love the game of golf more than I have an allegiance to my homeland when it comes to this wonderful game. I have always respected the talent in the best players, nevermind which side of the pond they hail from. Personally, I would rather see Rory or Ian or Lee or Luke or Sergio win an event before watching Tiger be a part of winning anything. For me, it's about a person's character, and I respect the way the Europeans handled themselves when they were behind and fought back to win. The better team won. From a lifelong American, congrats to the European golfers!!!
