    PUHOLINO:

Might be prudent to change flags to any country outside Europe for a while. I see VEM in full force in the near future, lol.

Already in action, my friend...seen places on the WGT golf courses today, I didn't know existed.... break out the freebie ball for a couple years..them lakes and weeds are gonna get you

I have always had a lot of time for Americans, but now my estimation of them has gone up a lot I remember a  few years go when team europe went to America and suffered nothing but abuse, not thecase this time, just light hearted banter and they took defeat in a true fashion, good on em- thominto

    ok..

WE lost .. and i think were fairly outplay'd ... CONGRATS

that said... i VERY much enjoy'd the CROWD ..and dont think BUBBA was showboating ..he was simply firing up the AMERICAN spirit ..

and to call ANYONE a RETARD...(goldenna) is way outa bounds !! THE RYDER cup is one of the most emotional events THERE IS ...

i Don't think SEVE would say something like that..

I hope its just as GOOD ..crowd wise in TWO years... PUMP'D AND LOUD ..

    peace...

As with any sprting event, there were fans on both sides of the "respectful" line.  While being there, I heard a lot of...."nice shot Sergio---you idiot"...after a muffed chip"...and  "go in the water" right at impact on #2 to Westwood....lot's of ---"you suck"..and..."this is America---eff off back to Euro land" to Poulter at greenside on #14...etc...On the other hand I also heard "nice shot many times, and "great putt Rory" when he birdied 13 on Saturday to continue the comeback.  For the most part, I'd say it was obviously a hometown crowd---as it should be, but, there were a lot of comments that went well out of bounds of acceptable...the one most hateful was when some drunk knob yelled to Sergio---"if you eff like you putt..it's no wonder Norman's kid dumped yor stupid ass".  In the end, the clear winner....again, was golf....epic comeback or epic meltdown.....a bit of both I suppose.  The days of the opinion that "The USA isn't a team", and "it doesn't matter to the US team" are long since gone...You could see it in their eyes walking off the greens. It matters, and golf wins.

The game played the way it should be with the utmost concentration and fierce competition.   Oh and by the way....... the BEST team won.

I think Phil Michelson should get the sportsmanship trophy of the year.

What an absolute gent to applaud his competitors shot. That is what all sports is about. To acknoledge greatness and sporting ability when you see it happening.

The man is a great ambassador for American Golf and Golf in general.

However he did disappear rather quickly to the 18 tee after Justin Roses superb putt on 17. he he he:~))

Well done to ALL the golfers in the Tournament. You treated us all to some fantastic golf for the whole three days

I can't help thinking that it's what the Yanks deserved. Altering the course to suit their players was far from sporting. We didn't do that at Celtic Manor.

But you did at Valderrama. Took the long drive out of play.

This was payback for Brookline. IMO, USA didn't fold like Arab tents, Europe wanted it more and I think Justin Rose is the MVP just for that putt on 16, not to mention the two that followed. Phil seemed genuinely gentlemanly. Great win for Europe.

I hope the Yanks play for the rough in the next one.

Those "Yanks" need more than being able to play rough or anything else-they need the heart and passion that Europe has for the cup.
