What problem? Being able to use it, which is perfectly legal in real life?

You used to be able to apply spin to the ball when wedges were on the green.

WGT took that spin away. Its pretty tough now to use a wedge on the green

As it should be. Just as in real life.

Using a wedge on a green is a legal shot in golf. Seriously damaging greens with it, however, will get you removed by the course.

While you can physically drive a golf cart on a green in real life it is not allowed by courses and likewise will result in your removal from the premises. It also has nothing to do with the actual play of the game.

    Very poor comparison, 27stitches.

    From the PGA Rule Book...

    RULES FAQ

    Rule 14-1

Using Club other than Putter on Putting Green?

    Q.  Is it permissible to use a club other than a putter to play a stroke on the putting green?

    A.  Yes, the Rules of Golf do not stipulate the type of club that must be used for making a stroke on the putting green or anyplace else on the golf course.

You're right, Goody. This subject was beaten to death when the programming adjustments were made. Newer members aren't aware of all those threads and some of the older members still refuse to accept the improvement in the realism of the shot as it is now programmed.

Some of the better players simply accepted the new challenge and learned how to hit it. My hat is off to those people.
