Take care Lee buddy.. Thanks again for the pointers and help in the early days of me starting out :).    You helped; when some others would not.  I've never forgotten it.

Hope life spins fun and joy for you in the future my man..   And yeah dont  be a stranger.

Wish I could have had a game or two with you Lee, but never got the chance. Hate to see you go, and hope maybe someday you will come back.

May God bless you and yours, and may life bring you nothing but happiness.

    AvatarLee:

    Hi all,

This coming Thursday the 25th of October will mark my 4th year anniversary on WGT.  Although technically it has been longer than that, being here from the days of the first 9 hole CTTH challenge on Bali Hai, I felt that it would be fitting to announce that on Thursday I will be officially retiring the player AvatarLee from WGT.

I have new direction and renewed priorities in life and unfortunately that means that some things need to take a back seat to those, including my time here at WGT.  I would like to say thanks to Chad Nelson and YuChiang Cheng for having the vision of bringing this beautiful golfing experience to fruition.  This has been much much more than just a game to me as it has brought me many great friendships and great memories.  Thanks to the visionaries behind WGT I had the opportunity to experience courses in the virtual world that I would never even dream of playing and by far the most breathtaking real-life golfing experiences of my life.  From playing with Parker McLachlin at TPC Scottsdale, to playing two indescribably beautiful rounds at Wolf Creek in Nevada, to one of the highlights of my life (not just in golf) having the honor to play a round at the birthplace of golf, The Old Course.  An experience that my family and I will treasure as long as we live.

To all the people I have met over the years and shared a round or two or fifty with, it has been a genuine honor and privilege to meet you and share this experience with you.  To my friends, don't worry, I'll pop in from time to time to say hi and see how the site is growing.  But this marks the end of a chapter for me, one that I will cherish for a very, very long time.

    Regards and Farwell,

    AvatarLee (or just Lee)

Although never played a proper round with you, reading your "retirement" genuinely made me quite sad, I remember when I joined yers ago and you and a handful others had the scores to strive for.  Very sad to see one of the game's "big names" leave.

Although I had the privilege of sharing a tee box with Lee just twice a couple of years ago, he had a great impact on not just my game but served as a model for me on how to help lesser players.  You've made a big difference in this game and community Lee!

For that I will always be grateful.

    Best.

    Andy
