Guess the cut line at Oakmont

  If the cut line is so low, how many players are expected to compete in the Open? I don't see to many people being able to shoot a round in the 60's at Oakmont, or St. Andrews.

  I'm guessing only several hundred members out of a million will be competing in the Open Championships.

  156 plus ties to be exact.

  As for the cut, I think it could be close to 67. Also, is it just me who thinks we'll get a sneaky visit from Tibbets in this time...

  Unlimited play ... Better Equipment

  My prediction ...  is 64 on Oakmont and 63 on St Andrews

  With all the play on St Andrews ... I think people will figure it out quicker.   Oakmont is a different story .... if Oakmont could talk here's what it would say.

  As of this morning the cuts are already...

  St Andrews     70

  Oakmont          72

  That is one day in....have to go low to stay in it.

  I´ll say 67 at Oakmont. 65 at St Andrews.

  damn really?I was hopin I could sit on my 65 at St Andrews and just work on oakmont. Guess not

  I wasn't around for the opens last year.

  I will predict the following:

  Oakmont   68 hard to believe that a huge number of people can shoot under that score with the green speed that we are using.

  St Andrews  66   while I know as SP said many more people have played this course I still think that with the back tees and the green speed, it will not be possible to blow out the low numbers on STA although I did shoot 30 on the front while ago.
