Great game Zippy!  You played more consistent last night and made some great putts, including the one on #17 to seal the deal. If I've got to lose a match, it may as well be against a friend who talks about his barneys and his marbles like you do.  It was definitely fun. If I'm not mistaken I think you went undefeated in the tourney... awesome job!!!

Way to go Zip!!  Great Job on the whole tourney, it was a treat to play along side you!  I look forward to playing with you in future events... NAC Part II - The North Will Rise Again!  "Revenge is a dish best served out of an igloo!"

Here is a breakdown of the match between me and DorkFeatures.

    Hole 1 Two pars AS.

    Hole 2 Two pars AS.

    Hole 3 Two pars AS.

Hole 4 I birdie and his slides by. 1up

Hole 5 I bogey and he pars AS.

Hole 6 I birdie and he pars back to 1up

Hole 7 I par and he bogies...his putt just missed by an inch.  2up

Hole 8 I stick it too three feet and put the pressure on his birdie chip lips out and I convert to go 3up.

    Hole 9 Two pars 3up.

    Hole 10 Two pars 3up.

Hole 11 I stuff my approach to 3ft and he fails to chip in for birdie and I convert to 4up

Hole 12 Two pars remain 4UP

HOle 13 Two birdies remain 4Up

Hole 14  Approach shot too  7ft and his to 16ft.  His putt slides by and mine just makes it in.  5 and 4 victory USA.

My compliments to Dorkfeatures as he a true gentlemen and never gave up in the match despite having every putt almost go in.  A combined two feet for him and the match would still be going on.  Happy birthday DorkFeatures and get some rest.

    Hi All,

Congratulations to Thunderbird and the USA Team, a well deserved victory. We were all square coming to 6, but then you turned up the heat - in the end you were just way to good for me.

Thanks for the kind words mate, you too are a real gentleman and it was a pleasure playing against you. I really enjoyed it.

But oh - those "fast" greens ?? It would have been real nice to get just one of those putts, I cant remember missing so many by so little LOL. Hey - thats golf eh? Drive for show - putt for dough.

Gotta get to bed, am feeling a year older already !!

    All the best

    Cheers Doug

Well done to Zippy who have played some great matches and remain undefeated throughout the tournament, you da man Zip !

Bad luck to Doug who gave his all in the match against Tbird, and Happy Birthday too mate, all the best to you.  Doug have really done very well considering he's the only pro on either side.  Congrats also to Tbird for a good win to the US Team.

Well played Doug and Thunder on a good game and congratulations on the win and a good competition Thunder.

A belated happy birthday Doug and thank you very much for your enthusiasm throughout this tournament, I know it has been mentally quite tough being the only pro in the comp but I think you have performed fantastically, well done.

Well done! This is a good close one..! Quick reminder: Europe comes off of summer (daylight savings) time on Saturday night, 1 week before the USA and Canada do... so we're 1 hour closer for a week!
