you can do so by going to my profile --> appearance and following the steps.

warning if anybody finds your pic offensive in any way shape or form they can report you to the WGT censorship squad and you will find your pic replaced with a shadow figure. then comes the hard part. a couple of weeks of lost time trying to regain the ability of posting any pic. you will be passed from one WGT personality to another and eventually you may regain the priviledge of posting a pic. pick almost any female player and check out their list of friends and you will almost certainly encounter a shadow figure. from boasting of being a free nation comes the responsibilty of censorship. yes i feel that i have a liberated mind and yet i find some pics offensive. i won't report any but there a a few that all they do all day long is check out pics. there are some that only want the hot steamy female pics to hang on their wall like trophies. if you pick a hot steamy pic you will be inundated with friend requests.food for thought. have fun on the greens !!

On the "APPEARANCE" page when you click on it there should be a button that says "UPLOAD YOUR OWN PHOTO" next to the "CHOSE ANOTHER AVAITAR" button. At least that's what shows up on my screen when I click on the APPEARANCE button. If it's not there then I'm lost too.
