  I'd suggest having the Weekly Single Play option as a last resort (as YJ mentioned), but giving pairings 1 week only (and strictly held) to get their game in. If they fail, it falls back to the Single Play that's already finished that prior week, so that there's no delay in moving on.

  Definitely. I did something similar in a very successful CC MP, double elim tournament (with the help of brackets.com) and was able to do it with 48 players in a month. 1 week for each round. I had to keep my foot down because I hadn't thought about the weekly single idea-heh, it came as a result of having to drop players to keep going. When I do it again they'll have a week to get the actual match played. Match not played?-to the weekly. Weekly not played?-you lose. 

  Doing this inside a CC allows the director to set up the optional single play course. You can also run knockout tournaments this way without any face to face comp. You have to concede that the WGT leaderboard is the final authority if you don't post scorecards and compare.

  This really is the 2014 MP tourn. I'm not sure I have ever seen a larger bracket. Should be interesting to see how it will all turn out.

  I had the same question... and if practice mode, what course conditions (uneven lies, perchance, pretty please, pretty please!)?

  Thanks lvietri, for this fascinating breakdown. I find it hilarious to discover I'm the lowest-ranked player in this thing (the only Tour Pro). Ah well, it'll be brief... but fun!

  I'll let Bug confirm when he recovers a bit from his cold .. but i'm 99% sure it's scored/ranked rounds.  No practice.   Also sure you can play for cred's if you / your opponent agree as it won't effect the conditions of a scored/match play round.
