Sanco: My point is - yes I have forfeited because adamverrill was not available to play, but Adam did not forfeit and he should have been given the opportunity to make amends and play puholino. He wasn't, and this is my point. Nothing personal to anyone, but I see you guys get personal to anyone who's not part of a clique aye!
You are almost correct Sanco ... but you are still confused. Adam DID forfeit his right to move onto the next round. What you probably missed was missed was Buggy's note on the bottom of page 24. Please read it. Buggy asked everyone who was not able to play their first round (in this case 12/14 was 2 weeks from start of tournament) to let him know ... so he could decide who to move forward ... if there was no response it would be assumed that both players would forfeit. Thus the tournament could continue without long delay's from folks who did not respond.
Having run large community based tournaments in the past ... I think it is a very fair way to keep things moving ... especially when the prizes are done via donations and there is no fee to participate.
To recap: You forfeited --- Adam did not reply so he also forfeited. No winner comes out of that part of the bracket. Thus, Puholino gets a buy into the next round ... there was no opponent.
In order to keep the bracket going Buggy just chose a name to fill in the bracket ...... he picked yours.
Nothing personal ... but as the one who is helping Buggy run this tournament I am keeping up on everything being written in the thread.
I hope that helps clear things up.
