I am aware that the standard unlimited ball that WGT provides is inferior to other higher level purchased balls.  I have not found a ball to buy that seems worth the money for the improvement in play.  I am currently a Level 53 Master

Any suggestions or thoughts on the matter?

Why don't you have time for real golf?

Try out some Nikes or Callaways.  More spin, more distance, more money.

I use the the WGT GI-S balls for 63 credits. I prefer these for really knocking down my scores due to the fact they have a nice combination of FEEL & BACKSPIN on them. They do not cost that much and took me to the Master tier as well. I have a friend on here who is also a Master and he can play better then me with the standard unlimited balls. So I guess in some ways it's all about using them long enough to work around their differences. I have also played rather well using the WGT one dot backspin WGT balls for 10 credits. But I prefer the GI-S balls for more bite when landing on the greens.

I am sure there will be others who eventually reply to this topic with better suggestions then myself. This will definitely be an interesting thread to read as it takes off.

    Happy Golfing!

standard rocks vs Nike balls would be like comparing a tricycle to a super bike ..

In a nutshell, yes the more expensive balls provide much better distance, spin and feel (or a mixture of those).

I have seen some excellent players using the SD balls well but judging by you GIR stats (56%) you may need a ball that you can stop, so a ball with better spin will help your score. I would guess a good ball will save you 3 or possibly 4 shots per round. Not only should they hold the greens better on your approaches but they should help hugely when you do miss the green.

WGT have a coding on their balls

GI = Game Improvement - these have a 'feel' attribute, the more dots of feel the more it will slow your swing meter down.

GI-S balls have more SPIN ability

GI-D balls have more distance ability

GI-SD have a little of each.

Compare the dots of attributes with the balls to understand the subtle difference of each.

Get used to something like a GI2-S ball for a sleeve or two. Understand yu have an 'S' (Spin) ball. Use it for spin. (not much spin on WGT Standard wedges)

and THEN, go back to the WGT standard.

    You will notice the difference.

    Agree ^^^^

I used mostly the WGT G12-S and the WGT G13-S all the way up to Master..I am an average player..but with a not too shabby G.I.R..this is completely due to the ball I would say..it does like to stay on the green.

Well worth the credits..funnily you don't seem to lose to many of them in play either, unlike the callies which seem to be made out of the same stuff found in water divining equipment..pure water magnets lol..purely coincidental obviously.
