So, my being honest and straight-talking, only deserves this type of sarcasm and mocking answers from old schooners that still think this is nice in this community ?  Those who don't give their opinion using their own words, and rather to use one's text chop, put it out of context, deviating one's meaning in a very disrespectful way, just to make some fun at one's honor ?

This is very sad. I keep seeing this kind of disgrace around this community. Is anyone proud of it ... really ? Isn't there any real golfer around, who simply enjoys friendship, prudence and consideration towards others ? Aren't you guys tired of these cheap copycats that only imitate their Saturday Night Live's sarcastic heroes ?

FSH Country Club stands completely against those kinds of misbehaving attitudes.

    1. sarcasm and mocking? When did that happen?

    2. cheap copycats? oops, did you miss your anger management appointment?

    3. Just because some of us "old schoolers" are not articulate in writing skills as you in introducing yourself, doesn't deserve your "long" oratorical sarcastic behavior!

    4. Promoting your CC, however cliquey as you expressed has nothing to do w/me nor my impression of you or your views one way or another.

As someone who used to work in advertising,
let me just give you a small piece of advice,
and say you're coming off a bit desperate,
which can be a major turn off for a lot of people,
also this endless flooding of "ads" doesn't help.

I'd suggest recruiting tour pros and masters,
using free tournaments with a purse,
    like ECCC's free roll tournies.

    no need for photoshop ads,
a simple "Earn free credits" headline is enough to lure the crowds in.

people don't eat at empty restaurants,
so once you get the ball rolling with 20+ members,
you can phase that out, and let the natural law of inertia do the rest.

I think this is what some my be thinking (from the posting guidelines):

    SPAMMING AND/OR TROLLING

Do not post anything that is, or could be, construed to be:

    • repeatedly communicating the same or similar message

    just my interpretation on this:

trolling would be construed as making derogatory or inflammatory remarks towards someone or their opinion .. basically the language of the infantile ..

this not being the case, it only leaves spamming ..

if some see these attempts at marketing a CC as spamming, then 90% of the threads in this forum should likewise be regarded as such .. repeating the same things over & over .. for years .. threads running 20 pages deep basically repeating the same thing over and over .. posters soliciting WGT repeatedly about the same issues .. • repeatedly communicating the same or similar message .. << that being the criteria, right .. ?

when we continually bombard WGT with all kinds of ideas of what we want, are we not marketing / selling/ pushing ideas ? repetitively, repeatedly .. often multiple posts by the same people in one thread .. i've done it too .. so i must be spamming then ?

by the very nature of that definition the main forums here constitute a non-stop effort at spamming ..

i think that the purpose of that definition in the posting guidelines does not include the efforts of a person to market a CC in 2 or 3 threads out of multiple hundreds of active threads .. if there were 50 threads all over the forums attempting the same, different story .. this is not the case here ..

would be interested to see Pizza's input .. but methinks that the "arguments" made here conflicts with the objective that the spamming/trolling guideline wishes to address ..

    Agreed,

I don't think anyone felt Q was trolling, just over posting the same message in several different forums, many times throughout the day.

Probably one post in the CC forum bumped daily would/should suffice.

I won't get into any of the rest of it, just my interpretation of the one question.

As I said before :  "Those who hide the hand after casting a stone" ... thinking that no one noticed their malice.

Excellent self exposing piece, wouldn't you say ?

You are right ! ... but hey ! ... it's never too late to learn to write ! You just keep getting better and better at self exposing your true nature.

Then ... why bother to post an answer in this thread that nad nothing to do with you? ... Mere trolling needs ?

... Since you forgot to write something on the fifth one, here, let me help you quoting your last piece on my profile wall :

    oneputtdavid:
Your wall post to me!.... Look it up!...... I understood it to be a personal CC invite! Please don't send me your "long" oratorical explanations. Not interested in you nor your BS!

... I was about 9 years old.  One day I decided to throw a stone as high and strong as I could and minutes later a neighbor came to my house with that same stone in his hand and told my Dad that someone threw it from our patio and broke his glass table.  I simply said :  It was me Dad ... I am sorry ... got the deserved punishment and learned the lesson ... end of my BS as you call the way I write Sir ...

Thank you for taking your time Sir ... but desperate ? ... Let's see :

    Creation of CC :  US$0.50
    Opening for 50 players :  US$1.50
Publicity, Marketing and Publications :  US$0.00
    TOTAL OF INVESTMENT : US$2.00

    Am I desperate ? Should I ? What for ?

Where would be the fun at doing what most CC's do ? ... I am not "recruiting" specific tiers, earnings or anything alike ... I am simply playing a game for fun, the way I enjoy it and sending a message :  "Hey people ... don't forget this is nothing but a computer game ... stop the fights and crawl back to the joy of playing"

I like the photoshop ads ... needed or not, simply like them !  ... McDonald's, BK, KFC and others alike are never empty ... and they use LOTS of photoshop ads, videos, songs, and even characters like Ronald ! ... Man ! ... what a great idea you just gave me ! ... I should create my own pet-character-host thing ... lol (jk)

Last note :  I have to thank very sincerely your advises.  I will interpret your post as an honest gesture to help me and not to do what others try to do on these forums, with a highly refined and subtle malice simply trying to discredit a person instead of really throwing a good opinion. Thank you Sir.  Very appreciated !

Ty fellas for your excellent points.  I wish everyone could review one's deeds with this type of good and smart analogies ! ...

... tell you the truth, I had no specific nor ambitious plan ... simply let myself go little wild on using beautiful images and funny-creative ideas that I really and honestly thought would be enjoyed by someone else ... that's it ! ... plane as it sounds ...

... this CC sign up (actually should be named "sign in") promotion took place the very second I received the first and only member I have in FSH up to now and I felt so child-happy that I wanted to reward him, but then, I remember that even gestures like that can be taken as something bad and dark for some ... weird things that happen here since this community behaves very bad, even worse than Facebook sometimes ... then I thought to create some sort of "welcoming-thanking" promotion ... but trust me gentlemen ... I am not acting upon any kind of malice here ... mere fun and love for this game an site ...

Thank you both very much for the objectiveness you have taken your precious time to "analyze" this case and throw very good ideas that I will inmediately ...

TY MBaggese, that's all I was saying.......with a touch of humor......

The difference between humor and sarcasm is that good humor is all about laughing at oneself ... sarcasm has so many bizarre faces and a tendency of using even a good thing with malice to laugh at someone else ...

Humor provokes laughter ... sarcasm is more like a cold blade into someone else's honor.  The saddest part of this is that sarcasm is getting more popular than humor on the media lately ... and some choose to learn from it   :(

    Or maybe I am wrong.
