    Quijotazo:

    gmaster007:

... and say you're coming off a bit desperate,
which can be a major turn off for a lot of people,
also this endless flooding of "ads" doesn't help ...

Thank you for taking your time Sir ... but desperate ? ... Let's see :

    Creation of CC :  US$0.50
    Opening for 50 players :  US$1.50
Publicity, Marketing and Publications :  US$0.00
    TOTAL OF INVESTMENT : US$2.00

    Am I desperate ? Should I ? What for ?

    gmaster007:

I'd suggest recruiting tour pros and masters,
using free tournaments with a purse,
    like ECCC's free roll tournies.

Where would be the fun at doing what most CC's do ? ... I am not "recruiting" specific tiers, earnings or anything alike ... I am simply playing a game for fun, the way I enjoy it and sending a message :  "Hey people ... don't forget this is nothing but a computer game ... stop the fights and crawl back to the joy of playing"

    gmaster007:

    no need for photoshop ads,
a simple "Earn free credits" headline is enough to lure the crowds in.
people don't eat at empty restaurants,
so once you get the ball rolling with 20+ members,
you can phase that out, and let the natural law of inertia do the rest.

I like the photoshop ads ... needed or not, simply like them !  ... McDonald's, BK, KFC and others alike are never empty ... and they use LOTS of photoshop ads, videos, songs, and even characters like Ronald ! ... Man ! ... what a great idea you just gave me ! ... I should create my own pet-character-host thing ... lol (jk)

Last note :  I have to thank very sincerely your advises.  I will interpret your post as an honest gesture to help me and not to do what others try to do on these forums, with a highly refined and subtle malice simply trying to discredit a person instead of really throwing a good opinion. Thank you Sir.  Very appreciated !

Sometimes we don't see what others see from
an outside point of view, the floods, the ads, it's too much, too fast, too everything.
hence the "desperate" comment. while you're excited about this new project,
others might see it as, dare I even say... "panic". it's a bit too much to handle,
and I'd strongly recommend you to take it down a notch.

as to recruiting, like I said - people don't come in to empty restaurants.
most active valuable players won't join a club that has 2-3 members,
unless they're your friend and doing you a favor. so recruiting is a must,
if you want to eventually "just have fun", can't have fun with just 1 other member, can you?

the reason I decided to comment,
is because more country clubs, mean more synergy in this game,
and plus you seem to have the right enthusiasm, but you need to
take it easy, do things smart, consult with veteran club owners,
and most of all be patient, and remember that every major novel
started out as an empty page on a typewriter.

    good luck.

I do consider sarcasm humorous at times.  Perhaps that's my own personal flaw.

    I do wish you well.

That would be your outside point of view and I respect your critique; don't agree with it but I keep sensing a great deal of sincere inputting from you.  Thank you.

I am sure you didn't read a previous post in this same thread where I said that "not even I can endure to keep this path for too long".  In fact this is how it usually happens, one tends to "flood" games with certain amount of enthusiasm and then let it go by itself, so, your valuable advise was part of the "unplanned plan" anyway.
    gmaster007:

As right as you can be about it ... come one ... do you really think that I am worrying about that ? ... You know what is my only real concern, or at least that thing that I care about WGT ? ... The insane urge suffered by some players for criticizing with insults, dark humor and sarcasm anyone who takes any type of step out of the box ... I must state this is not the case, since you are posting in a very smart and polite way ... I think that this CC represents more like a $2.00 attempt to STOP the madness, the personal attacks and some other ugly things that keep hapening over and over on these forums.  This negativeness on the forums SHOULD BE OVERFLOWN with anything else ... whatever it might be ... instead of the current dominating madness.  So ... maybe you are right, and this is a desperate attempt to call the attention into a "HIGHWAY" (attitude) that should take us into a more "FELLOWSHIP based STATE" ;)
    gmaster007:
most active valuable players won't join a club that has 2-3 members, unless they're your friend and doing you a favor
None of my most active WGT friends have been "engaged" directly with any recruiting intention on my part, since I know that too.  I would consider a favor if they simply say :  "Good luck with your CC Mr Q" ... as most of them already have !
    gmaster007:
so recruiting is a must, if you want to eventually "just have fun", can't have fun with just 1 other member, can you?
Well, I don't know about that; I was in a CC with 250 members and I wasn't having as much fun as I am doing now.  I never measure success, fun or achievement in terms of what I receive, get rewarded or win ... I only measure what I am capable to give, and in FSH I want to give a new, fresh breeze (yet weird I can agree), very absent in this site, and if it's just me...  I am very ok with it anyway :[  ... You have to excuse my exaggerated sense of freedom and detachment from those so common goals to most ...

Great to read your fine words Sir.  I can be in some disagreement with some of your comments, but it doesn't mean that I do not appreciate a great person with great intentions, writing with honesty and care for the other part.  Cheers to that and thank you for your "good luck" wishes dear fellow player.  Be blessed ;)

That would be your choice Sir, and not even God will prevent you from using sarcasm at your own will, instead of sharing greatness.  I hope that when you make a publication and others reply with sarcasm, making fun of -not only your opinion but your honor- you can remember that It is ok for you anyway, and simply act cool, despite of being in the landing side of a cast stone.

Thank you very much ... the same for you plus some extra blessings for this up-coming season ;)

... I was about 9 years old.  One day I decided to throw a stone as high and strong as I could and minutes later a neighbor came to my house with that same stone in his hand and told my Dad that someone threw it from our patio and broke his glass table.  I simply said :  It was me Dad ... I am sorry ... got the deserved punishment and learned the lesson ... end of my BS as you call the way I write Sir ...

OOp's......No need to comment! Good luck with your CC endorsements.

    Well done Q,

    You show style and finesse!

Don't worry about these peanuts who think your marketing is 'over the top'.

You show genuine enthusiasm for your new club and have prepared very well for it.

If i had a hat on I would take it off to you!

    Greetings Mr. SHRUDE Sir.

Thank you for your generous and fine words.  Coming from, not only a great player, but a very successful CC Owner, with a vast experience, and someone that holds great reputation among the members of the Aussie Aussie Aussie Country Club, mean a world of gratitude and appreciation to me.

Thank you for being such a great example, as a player, as a CC owner and as a WGT Community member.

My deepest respect to you dear friend.  Regards.

I found this wonderful gift on my profile wall yesterday.  Didn't want to share it right away, since I didn't want this gesture to be distorted with the arguments of the day.  Today is a new day and gratitude couldn't be greater towards WGT, this community and this player ... Thank you very much andyson for such beautiful detail ... man I feel humbly inspired today !
