Merry Christmas to all WGT from Down Under!
In the above pic you will see some traditional 'Aussie' things
A Holden Ute
the Blue Esky full of grog
The missus flippin snags on the Barby (No we dont do shrimp on the barby)
One o' the lads wearin' his t-shirt, shorts and thongs.
A Blue Heeler (kelpie) mutt in the back o' the ute
Some pink Galah up in the tree
Old man Emu, don't have a clue.
A kangarooter wearin' his Santa hat
And a pair o' Koalas in a eucalypt tree
& behind them all in the bush, is about 10,000 other animals that can probably kill you.
This here is a little clip currently showing on our tellies, its an ad mate, but she's bonza!.
Christmas in Australia is celebrated during our HOT Summer Months. No snow, no log fires & no bloody egg nog for us mate.
Yes, we have Christmas Trees, Father Christmas, Christmas Carols and gifts which are a familiar Christmas scenario.
Christmas Dinner may be a barby in the backyard or a table full of fresh seafood tucker with ya neighbours and ya family and ya mates, Swilling stubbies of icy cold beer or some bubbly for the sheilas.
Sometimes a picnic on a beach in the swimmin togs.
Cold Hams instead of turkeys, Pavlova instead of Plum Pudding. and due to the fact that Chrissy also coincides with the Summer Holidays, quite often families will celebrate Christmas away from home....and that.
So throw ya pressies at the tin lids digga, get yer a.rse out here under the pergola, pull up a pew, spin the crown off a coldie, throw another snag on the barby & tell us a yarn or two.
and then right around the corner, is NEW YEARS EVE!
Maaaaaaaaate!
Shine on... . . .
