how do you make a gift to someone

in the pro shop, when you chose to buy something, there will be a button to gift it to someone. you click that and then enter their username and follow the steps to complete it.
the gift should be usable by that person (based on level or tier restrictions).

I had a process running on my machine. Once I killed it, the button was back.

Have you tried a different browser?
There are items in the shop that just aren't giftable, are you maybe trying one of them ?
ie. the legend wgt balls ?
