    Hi All

This is my first and probably last post.  I started playing around 18 months ago and had slowly worked my way through the tiers,  I'm no Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy.  Yes when you move up a tier it is harder till you settle into it .  However this time I can't I have tried and find it almost impossible.

I moved up to legend a few weeks ago which came as shock my best round is a 60 and apparently my average was 61?? Consistent you say, yes I wish I was so consistent.  I would say I was on a good day shooting 32-33 on 9 holes and 62-64 on 18's on a good day with the odd! lucky 60 on an 18 and a 28 once on a 9 hole which caused me that much of a shock I nearly passed out.

Yes I am moaning I wasn't ready to move up I simply was not and am not good enough yet I saw people consistently hitting 56-57 or 27-28 in tour master and never moved up??  The top and bottom of it is it has now spoiled my enjoyment of the game so much I probably wont play any more which is a shame because it is a game I enjoyed.

My last 10 scores as tour master were.

    35, 30, 35, 36, 32

    67, 71, 63, 70, 71.

From all posts about how it works I just cant see why I moved up when I went to school the above would avge. a good 67? and if you go back to the 10 scores before this they are about the same etc etc.

Maybe an explanation may help, but at the moment just confused and dissolusioned with WGT

I think you just need to give it time.  like you I moved into legend tier while I was still in the 70's, but i was very happy about the move...finally I was one of the elite...of course then tour legend tier was introduced, so now that's my goal.  I believe you need a change in clubs.  those rocketballz have a medium trajectory which makes it very tough to hold a green...wait until next level and purchase the rocketbladez...they are the second best clubs and will do you a world of good...they took my average from 62 down into the 59's now.  I think you'll find that they really improve your game and will bring back some joy to playing...

by the way winning some money is a good way to be moved up tiers...my guess is your earnings helped you to move up into legend.

I moved up a few weeks ago and I'm just getting used to the changes. The game would be boring if it was easy.

Basically Dave it takes an average of your best scores and not an average of all your scores. I'm not sure how many rounds it works it out on (i'm sure someone will tell us)

It's a shame you feel like quitting because i found the game got so much better when i reached the legend tier and i felt it was a real challenge playing from the back tees.

Also the trouble is you're still at level 78 so haven't unlocked the best equipment to be able to shoot the really low scores. Trust me, when you do it's a lot easier. At level 79 the rocketbladez irons become available and they are a great set of irons and the stopping power with the long irons is brilliant.

Stick at it for a while longer and it'll become better i promise you. If you fancy a game then look me up. I'd be happy to pass on a few tips.

    HI

I think i agree with others sentiment. Constant challenge is what keeps me excited. I think you just need some time to adjust :)

Lately, I have been trying to play uneven lies. It's much more fun than it sounds :)

    Stay positive!

Agreed. We need to have the uneven lies implemented in the CC format with the cut line attached. UL will become more popular as WGT unfolds new UL formats such as UL CTTH tournaments, and more UL 'Single play' weekly and monthly tournaments.

Hello ,   confused and dissolusioned with the game and WGT,i understand , only thing i would like to say to you is dont give up , we all go or feel same way at time ,  i notice  for myself  the game with time gets a litle easyer ,i start playing from memory of good and bad shots, one day  i am in for some 32  31  30  games   the next day   lucky to play pars  35   .   Its part of this game and real golf .       I notice this is your first post  Congrats,   dont give up , use the forum more to tell the community how you fell, many will try to help ,some with tips others with words that may help you . You made it to Legend that is no easy thing ,  it would be a shame you giving up now ,  take my word for it ,the game will come around and you will be glad you stayed .   Francois(Frapp)                 Happy  New Year    and good luck  .

TS alot of good post in here. I understand what your trying to say but the formula is X amount of rounds then avg. only goes down and your best scores will replace your worse scores making you move up.

Take me for example, My avg. right now only goes down, my best 9 is a 27, my best 18 is a 59, I have scored both of these scores a few times but still my PB. Now with that said I could hit Tour Legend and still have my best rounds be the same. Its the nature of the game. My real Avg. right now ingame is around 65, yet my Avg is currently 64.38 and droppin.

Take onthe new challange and embrace it for what it is, Have fun!.

    Mes.

    PS: Gratz on Legend BTW!

It was because you played RGs. Under the new system, everyone below legend tier gets their avg artificially and dramatically lowered with every prize they win in an RG. It doesn't matter if you placed 12th and only got your entry fee back, the system only seems to recognize gross winnings instead of net winnings and the RGs you played as a TM probably lowered your avg by at least 2 strokes. It's a sad reality of a system, which works great for making multi-accounting and sandbagging MUCH LESS profitable, but unfortunately people like you get "punished" as well.

As for getting used to the back tees, you'll have much less troubles adjusting if you change your clubs. Like Silentomegawolf wrote, rocketballz's trajectory is a bit too low to stick to the greens from long tees, so IMO the best course of action would be buying RocketBladez when you get to L79 and sticking a 100y wedge (either CG or L40+ 200 credit Ping, if you're short on credits) in your bag instead of the hybrid, which is the most useless club I can imagine.

If you decide to stick with the game and give it a shot (and only if you decide this), I can help you with getting clubs, if you're short on credits at the moment, just send me a friend request and we'll talk.
