    SHRUDE:

Round 2 -  4 (remaining) players for 2 matches (+ one player in bye) = 2 Winners, (Save & Post score cards).
The player with the lowest margin in this round plays the player from round 1 (in bye) in round 3
One winner from this round (with the largest margin) is moved to the final

Round 3 -  2 players - the winner with => lowest <= margin score card from round2 plays the remaining winner of round 1 . One player doesnt play round 3 & is in the final

That's it - replacing "player" by "winner" in the round 3 description for maximum clearness.

One word, "lowest" makes the difference, and the phrase underlined by me is confusing due to it's redundancy - it describes round 3 in advance.

Yet, I support the thought that less players should be eliminated - we have time and may extend the tourney for one round or the other. For example, rounding up the second round to eight players adds but another round.

Regarding the spreadsheet: By leaving it unprotected, any authorized participant may alter it. I'm saving copies :)

    Edit: Deleted wrong statement.

Ok, let's found a main sponsor and open a new thread with the bracket.

But let's talk about money, suggest: any matchplayers can choose before the date to game it in a challange mode. I'm lack of credits now, got a good base but until WGT offers will be good I take money in the bank, by the way: which better money, sleeve or clubs?

Hmmm,  so how do you see it being played now then?

perhaps the lowest score card is eliminated in each round?

I support Roger's idea: The three "best losers" of the first round stay in the race.

Thus only two have to resign and the field is reduced to eight players - a standard bracket for matchplay.

    There's no change necessary but the number of players in the successive rounds - 10 - 8 - 4 - 2 players.

Round 1: Bethpage front nine, 9 holes, 5 matches

Round 2: Best of Famous 18 holes, 4 matches.

    Semi-final: Congressional 18 holes, 2 matches.

    Final: Oakmont 18 holes.

A league might overcook the tourney, given that there was little to no support to this idea.

    Let's get it started!

Message send dude. Waiting to instruction!

Much important: isn't good start a new thread with the tour name?
We can report in that one this one we are using. And what about prizes?

I got no problem to play for glory and fame!
Instead of it we can find another solution but don't know what!
    Maybe sleeves of balls!

    Swing aimed,
    Davide.
