I had the level 83 G20's and loved them until i turned legend a year ago.Once i was going off from the parking lot the G20's just would not do what i wanted them to do,so i upgraded,I choose the level 90  R11's.BIG mistake. (after avoiding for 5 months because of meter speed).I could not hit ding or any where near it ,even with max balls. Was looking in pro shop and saw the Level 79 Bladez and compared them to the Level 90 R11's almost same stats but meter was same as driver. so late last year on a free rental i rented the Bladez and instantly sold my R11 irons and fell head over heels with the bladez, they are the best irons on this game,IN MY HUMBLE OPINION :).WAY SUPERIOR THAN G20's :( kinda hurts inside to say that lol i loved the G20's especially loved the level 59 one's lol. They removed them from pro shop.............................NEXT...........

I find them to be about as good as the R-11's.so dont worry about rushing to level 90.

    the bladz are good clubs

Noooo.  I've owned lvl 51 and lvl 81 Pings and the lvl 79 Blades (hated them, too unforgiving to the point of being unfair) and none of them hold a candle to the R'11.  IMO, the lvl 79 clubs were a waste of money.  I should have stayed with the Ping til I made lvl 90.

The R11's level 90 are without doubt the best clubs on here, even if the woods are slightly slower than the irons. If anything they spoil the game giving you backspin from 200 yards. I think the G20's are the most believable clubs on here and it would make the game more believable if they were the top club. Stiil it's all about money I suppose.

R11 irons are the best clubs for this game IF the speed is OK for you.  Next best set the L79 Bladez.....................Talking Legend tees only...anything less than the tips and L83 G20 irons have it by a country mile............................IMO

This is exactly how I feel about the G20's and the R11's. I rented the R11's during free weekend for the second time and they play wonderful other than the totally unrealistic shot making. I stuck a 220 yard 3 iron dead and backed a 5 iron up 15 feet on approach. The G20's play much more  realistic looking and I enjoy them for that more than anything. Also, the slower meter makes it possible to play very easily with the free ball or any of the ones that don't have any dots of feel.

The R11's stroke the ego better than any but for me I want the shots to look real not video game like.

im at this crossroad now but want to know do people think you can realistically play with the bladez and the starter, and not asking if I can win tournaments with it, not expecting to or trying to. Playing for XP and to improve game. I think Cerino will undersand what I am asking from another post. I rented bladez during free weekend and thought they were amazing, but i was using a nike ball with 3 dots. I am still not a ding machine even under that scenaion but i holed more shots and put more shots inside 1 yard with those bladez in 2 days from legend tees than i ever had.  At present I don't plan on always carrying a good ball. i play cleve wedges which have similiar meter speed and fogiveness and use the starter ball and again pull of some relatively good shots and feel like my chipping and pitching is really coming along nicely.

    Just curious what people think.

The only answer is you're going to have to test the meter speed yourself with the free ball. I tried free ball with the R11's last weekend and just couldn't keep up with the meter to hit the ding or even near enough to it. Any new equipment I try out the first thing I do is play with the free ball. If I can play it, then I move up to a better ball then the one I play in Tourneys as a final test. I really wish I could have told you this before the free weekend so you'd be able to decide while the rental was free.

its all good Cerino, thanks for the advice. I might have enough to pull off a rental first. Im in no hurry anyway, not looking to decide tonight or anything. I think I could probably work it. It would be hard but thats all part of the challenge, which if and when I move to a better ball will make things even more interesting.

Like i said before i do have the high level cleves now and I am playing with astarter and assuming the meter doesn't get al whacky i can hit the ding and i can get close, if i concentrate.

I find the G-20's with the Calloway Lvl 1 SM ball make for a manageable meter speed/distance trade-off. I looked at R 11's but don't thnk I could ever manage the meter speed. As mentioned earlier in these post there is also a significant difference in the meter speed between the woods and irons with the R-11's. To me, IMHO, the G-20's are the best overall value offered at this time.
