Lvl 79 Rocketbladez vs Level 83 G20

  Personally I very much doubt I would have been comfortable playing Bladez with the starter ball, and pretty well know I would only ever use that in practice for say three holes just to get my eye in with the R11s - seems work for me. The G20s I could have done speed wise, and they are a fine set - cream of the crop for below the tips and still v good for the tips.

  Really best to try them all (just missed a free rental I know) and glean what you can from the limited use you get when doing so.  Some say beware of rental days as clubs perform better there  than when you buy them outright, but I never found that!

  In the end it's about what you want from the game. If it's out and out scoring potential from the tips then the R11's are a strong contender, just look at what many of the top player's use - including ball though. Less meter speed but LESS forgiveness with the Bladez. After that the G20's which are cream for TM and down but less distance and green traction longer iron wise. Incidentally some say the Bladez PW distance looks odd, but I found the punched Bladez 108 yard PW so useful I never found that the case.............

  In short some will play better with G20 irons at legend level than with the R11s as it is all personal in the end. HOWEVER, IF you want to really challenge yourself score wise, this game, then most top player's use the R11 irons.........decisions decisions in the toy shop!

  I'm in the minority here!

  And again as everyone else has said, it's all about personal opinion. I have tried (via renting) other clubs to my own (The L83 G20s), including both the RBZ sets and The R-11 clubs I'm able to! I've also tried the R-9s and some of the other TM stuff.

  In my opinion (and I think this is possibly due - on reading of replies to this thread - to the slower meter speed) The G20s are the best of the bunch. I think they simply suit me better!

  This is the crux of the discussion - go with whatever suits you best! Until I reach Legend (I'm a TM now at L89) and reach the levels where I can try the new R1 driver and the R-11 Irons, I'll be keeping my G20s.

  Out of interest as well, I've tried wedges, woods and putters over the rental periods and think that having tried loads, when I can I'll have the ATV (as opposed to the Cleves - the Pings are in my bag at the moment) Wedges, The Ghost Manta Putter (Ghost Spider in there at the moment), the R-11 Irons (G20s at the moment), G20 3w/hyb and the R-1 Driver (this is based on my stepson using the earlier version on here at the moment - what a club that is!) although the R-11 OS Driver will have an airing too when I can use that one I think.

  I use the Callaway iS Vapour balls generally now, and the results with my current set up are pretty good!

  At the end of the day it's whatever suits you as an individual.

  I plan to get the Rocketbladez when I get to level 79, so 10 more levels to go.  I'm currently using the level 59 G20's, but playing against a legend friend who uses the R11 irons I get owned on the long shots.  He can play his 3 iron and stop faster than my 5 or 6 iron with full spin.  Hopefully the Rocketbladez can help that a bit and allow me to use a 3 iron instead of a 3 wood on many shots.

  Same here, just 7 levels to go.  Just wondering what the PW punch yardage is for the bladez as I am worried about the gap between my current wedge setup and the 125yd pw of the bladez set.

  L79 Rocketbladez PW punch yardage is 108. 

  Having a 125 PW is a little unusual, but I have stuck with the 56, 60, 64 degree wedges and have been doing ok.

  The meter of this set of irons is not to fast ? I'm using only starting balls

  
  I'm level 76 right now, in couple of week, the time as come for me to hesitate between  buying  this set of club or just wait for the G20 iron set couple of levels later.

  the punch on the pw goes 108 and to me is like an extra club,but my 56 wedge goes 100 whereas yours only goes 90

  I wish I'd never clapped eyes on this lousy thread and would like to complain in the strongest possible terms.

  There I was, happy as a pig in muck, plodding along with my level 83 G20's and no intention of buying anything with the few dwindling credits I had left. The next thing I remember some strange force overcame me and Rocketbladez were sat in my inventory, on hire.

  I'm afraid with seven minutes hire period left, that same force took control again tonight and here I am, nearly 3,000 credits later and a new set of irons, with nothing left in my 'piggy bank,' looking for someone to blame it on !

  5levels and about 900 points til I get to L79,  gonna need it soon ,  just made Legend today.
