Can anyone help Puholino out today?

Kurt has sadly had to pull out of the tourney altogether, as he's been snowed under with an uptick in business, and is shortly off on vacation.

Hi Corwyn, at this time im afraid im going to have withdraw because of my business, its gotten extremely busy here leaving me time available mostly single play games where i can close and save and finish during times im available to play, im also leaving on vacation Feb 8 for 3wks and this requires me to stay on top of the business and prepare to leave town.  I do not like breaking commitments ive made, im very sorry for this and i have told jure.     Again, my apologies, Kurt

    Hanswurst72:

As much as I love this tournament idea, it is getting out of hand with one thread. My idea would be a separterate screenshot and rules thread to keep this one readable! My guess for the longest drive is 339 yds, on the fairway obvisouly.

    Cheers, Hans

    Thanks Hans,

This is certainly something I'll consider for a future tourney... but I'm reluctant to change things midstream here. While it's a great idea in theory, I did notice many people posting in both threads for your Ryder Cup (which just adds to the volume!), and I found it a drag to have to check both places to keep up.

One thing we could all do is consider when it's useful to Quote in full (especially for the pics in a previous post), just to try and keep everything relevant.

But I don't want anyone to feel inhibited about sharing their experiences, replays, asking for practice partners, and full screenshots. That's a big part of the fun of a tourney like this, is seeing how we all manage to cope, together, with the tough conditions and courses.

Please note that anything really important for the running of the tourney will always be added to, or updated, or referenced, in the Opening Page Posts (with Edit notes given for what is new).

    Cheers, Corwyn

    PUHOLINO:

    Someone please help!

My playing partner for round one (Kurtsbuford) has informed me a few hours ago, that he'll be pulling out of the tournament due to not having enough time. I'm now in urgent need of someone, who'd be willing to play along as a marker. To add to this kind individual's grief, he'd also need to take screenshots of everything required and post them, since I'm one of the technologically challenged (inept). If there's a volunteer willing to take this on, I'm available any time today (7pm US EST to start at the latest). Just leave me a wall post what time would be good for you, I'll get it forwarded to my phone if I'm not on. I need a max 30mins heads-up, most likely less.

I have posted on your wall and ready to help you out. It is 3:41 pm EST. at the time of this reply.

I must say it was a pleasure filling in today. I bettered my last time fiasco by 12 strokes. Puholino had some bad breaks on some of his approach shots. They looked like they were landing on concrete. He is a good fellow and player.

Here is the rest of the story:

Corwyn I guess I fill out the submission form for him.

Edit: My fault, I got so busy doing the screenshots I took two green screenshots of myself instead of Puholino. I meant to take one of him on the 18th. I also just noticed I didn't get one of me on the fairway showing that it was Uneven Lies, but it was folks I swear.

Second Edit: I have filled out Puholino's submission form.

Lol, I think the fact I missed 4 putts within 5 feet should be proof enough I was using the starter (I loath the darn thing). 2 of them were overcooked (3 footers), wneh I Guess I forgot I'm not on the 15 ft scale and they rammed right through the hole and fell out the back. All in all, it was a very fun round and I'd like to thank you again for playing along and doing "my work". I can't wait for the next round. I played 2 front 9s for practice earlier this week and scored 40 both times, so I guess I'm thrilled with my round. I consider not finding a single bunker to be an achievement now, feels like I just signed up again.

    Hi all,

My assigned playing partner can't make it so I am looking for a marker to play with me later tonight, probably about 8 or 9pm Pacific (US) time. Let me know, send a friend request, I would love to get these rounds in!

If not tonight, same time on Sunday and maybe during the day. I also have Monday off.

I wish I had more available time, but my mother-in-law is coming to visit!
