The conclusion might be that you are about to shut down business?

Or even sell onto another company, if they can prove that we mugs will fall for anything.

Jeeeeze Louise, this has the potential of becoming the longest post in WGT history. If I could afford to buy it, I would bet my customized Sean Connery James Bond Squirrel Avatar, that it will get yanked before that. And I was looking forward to my customized golf bag with the pop up tap, and Yuengling logo on the side. I don't make that much a year anymore, so my dreams are shattered again.

OK Pizza man...lol I have a few questions...

Most successful marketing plans include doing some kind of market surveys to get an opinion before setting a price point. It seems as though the WGT marketing department could take a few lessons from the survey companies on this site.

Why is it that this has been suggested and yet WGT ignores it's customers requests for this?

Do they not get the picture that customers don't mind loosening the purse strings as long as there is a fair price point?

It seems as though it is do it now, create  the rage and then maybe make some adjustment type of marketing.

Also ask your marketing department what they are basing their price points on?

Do they really think members with credits to burn are really going to spend them on their latest debacle pricing?

And lastly  as a customer would you yourself be willing part with those type of credits to purchase those items yourself?

posted already , but got lost in all the other "comments"

    WoodenHands:

500,000 credits for an avatar !!!!!

If anyone has that amount of credits spare with nothing to spend them on , here are some suggestions -

buy your friends a set of L90 R11 irons , that way you could treat 167 of them .

or buy each friend a sleeve of L71 nike balls , you'll need a lot of friends though - 1,111 .

or buy each friend an avatar from the pro shop , even if they choose the the most expensive , you can treat 625 of them .

or , don't feel like sharing , play 18 holes on Cabo  at 60 credits for the green fee a total of 8,333 times !

Hey OBR, sorry but I have to refer you to one of my previous posts in this thread.

All questions about marketing or price points can be answered with this one statement:

    WGTpizza:
I will answer this, and any other question about the pricing of products on WGT:

WGT has a marketing department that decides the cost of items in the pro shop. Based on feedback and sales, they adjust those prices.

Our marketing department does not discuss their strategies with the public, as with most companies I am aware of.
