  Well here's MY take on the whole thing.....

  Whoever decided the prices on the new avatar and golf bag have rocks in their heads.

  Neither one of those have any effect whatsoever on our game..no benefits...no slower meter...no nothing..zilch, zero, nought!

  So why would anyone in their right mind buy them????

  Even if they HAD some benefit...the prices are too stupid to even laugh at!

  Don't treat your customers as morons wgt...that never fared well for any company.

  62 pages on this topic? Sheesh....is that not enough to tell you?

  Mr Pizza & Mr Icon...it's simple...go back to your bosses and tell them this is unacceptable!

  Neither of you can explain it, defend it, or condone it... much as u may try.

  Thanks Rock --- I really don't like to stand up for WGT ... and I don't like to argue either but .. the truth is ... at this point with this tread of nonsense even if WGT says something ---  this will it make everyone (heck anyone)  happy ?   Personally I don't think so.   

  You're welcome. That was just my attempt of putting something together, which could look like a starting point. Surely, words alone would not be enough, if they would not on the shortest of terms be followed up by actions and surely you can nitpick this piece. Easy enough. I didn't take 2 hours to think it all over; I put that down in a minute and off course I understand a professional response will probably not nearly look like that. Just trying to sum up the average grief in a made-up wgt response. That's all.

  Now, I ask myself...Self do you want to spend $3,000 on this..

  +1.........it's up to WGT (not Pizza or Icon ), whom I am sure are reading this thread, to come out and address the issues raised here.  I suspect that they are carefully putting together a statement that will hopefully appease the community and reduce the ire that has been expressed......

  Heh-Can you imagine what drinks after work Friday was like at their local watering hole. LOL

  Edit:, Just been for a 12 Km run to clear the cobwebs, (1st time for 2 months, and YES the lungs are burning) and was cogitating on the WALK !! back upon the growth or lack of in WGT and it seems to me..

  I have enabled myself to do pretty much anything else in life that I feel like doing, (and I do understand that that is not everyones privilege), but THEY came up with the Idea and should therefore reap the rewards, in whatever form  that takes..Unless'..

  It is another Enron y et al (srry for the mixed language statement.) :-))

   I'll stop, because my thoughts will take up page 86, ( and I was taking a 'Sabbatical')  but, just some perspective Eh ?..WE will adapt or diversify ..?

  It is why WE still here, WE are  not Baboons after all..( I speak for most, there' def some Chimps around )

  A real bummer that the gift cards are gone, they were a goal for a lot of people. Although I knew it take me about 5 more  years to win enough credits for a gift card, but it was a reason to keep playing.

  A few reasons that I can think of  for eliminating he cards:
  Maybe they can't afford to hand them out anymore. Is WGT finaicially unsound?
  Maybe for legal purposes WGT will not give cash prizes anymore, possibly for a change in ownership/sale of the company?
  Maybe just a poor judgement call by a moron in the marketng team. Someone's bright idea to impress management that will save WGT a litle money short term, but end up costly much more long term.

  As for the new items in the Elite Collection, I see them as a joke, as the Maserati was. They never intended on giving a Maserati away, and they don't intend on making custom avator or golf bags, or they would be fairly priced.

  ,PS,.. I and another well known and respected contributor to this forum (I don't include myself in that statement) have just noted during an Alt game that a member since 2010 was still using 'starter gear' , he now has L59 Gs and nice wedges ....(good player, no coin)

  The WILL is out there WGT to make this site what it could / should be, for everyone's benefit..just GIVE something back once in a while ?

  Or at least don't TAKE the P.iss 

  Failing all of the above, a sorry might suffice, or could've done had you treated us with the respect that WE think we deserve, whether you concur or not, is immaterial .

  The customer is ALWAYS right  (stood me in good stead)
