i bet they wish this thread would've died down by now ... kinda funny that in 5 days it has amassed 65 pages but still dont show up in the forum statistics at the bottom of main page .... hmmm

this is whats there now ....

n the past 3 days, the most popular thread for everyone has been "Post Your Best Replays Here!". The post with the most views is "Legend's: Gloves off". The most replies were made to "Post Your Best Replays Here!".

    andyson:
    This is significant.

    Holy crap...

I got the pop up ad today too, I didnt think anything of it it as I had always been able to play RG's however there were some US tourneys , Corbel for instance, we couldn't enter from Australia.

    SGTBilko:
I believe a lot of this drop in visitors

This 20% decrease over 12 months, after a substantial peak in June would be a worry for WGT!

Was June when Olympic was released?

You could be very well right there Bilko.

However, it could also be  Market Saturation.

This is when a product is released into the market there is a significant rise in sales whilst preliminary promotions are implemented new consumers are borne and word of mouth begins.
Subsequent advertising only needs to be topped up during this honeymoon period.

Then it eventually plateaus and at that time a realistic indication of projected sales can be used to plan further campaigns.

So,  since 2009, WGT has seen a steady & probably fluctuating rise in popularity & new memberships, until now when the Market is mostly aware of the game (saturated) and the return on advertising investment is diminished.

With drastic actions like we have recently experienced, the cash-cow that we once were has possibly come to a stage in which WGT were either not prepared well for or simply didn't expect.

Andyson's analysis of WGT opening up the market now seems to hit this nail on the head.

All speculation of course, but if something smells like pudding, it is probably pudding.

I imagine we can guess as to what this inevitably means.

Perhaps a new breed of marketing staff to resurrect WGT and get it's focus back onto consumer satisfaction & development, as they were in 2009, will turn things around, However, it may be too late trying to relate to a non 'Caucasian' market to restore WGT's utopia.

How about that for a faulty system :)

So you're saying when the damn thingy saturates, it only starts coming down? ;-) I've heard that somewhere before.

It would be IMO a step in the right direction if WGT would have a committee formed within the WGT Community "as someone else mentioned" that had a direct link, voice to MisterC. and report what the community wants. But with all options and/or resolutions this idea may be construed to some in the community in the wrong way as well. Right now it is a HORNETS NEST. Who knows what is going to happen,

Its history being repeated " A company grows so fast that a lot of these issues were not anticipated and/or dealt with immediately thus not having a PLAN and it all comes falling down around the companies ankles.

I have some experience in this area as a Waste and Recycling Industry Owner. In my younger days I bit off more than I could chew and took a horrible beating before coming to my senses, I made it work but I ate CROW from my Dad the founder and learned my lesson from the school of hard knocks, if your walking your ok but if you wake up one morning and decide to run a 20 mile marathon you better be well conditioned and pr-paired and most importantly have a collective support team that can not only see your vision but also look from the outside in ensuring one is in the same and this is where I think WGT needs the support of this community and really take a listen to our concerns and views. We are not here to HURT WGT! WE LOVE WGT "and YES Pizza & Icon yall are 1st on our list for LOVE" just begging to help and in this economy what company has an offer of this magnitude for free help.

Take FACEBOOK it is in the top 10 MOST HATED COMPANIES list for similar reasons, customer dissatisfaction and complaints.

    Just my 2 cents

the lack of any kinda formal response from WGT topside will only fuel scepticism & speculation regarding this game ..

pricing, the involvement of GC, RG's opened up within other states & parts of the world, etc etc .. this is all fast food for speculation

lets see what Monday brings in terms of a response from WGT .. putting off any response any further would be a bad oversight IMO

I've skimmed bits and pieces over the past few days because honestly taking the time to read through this confused, misdirected and broad-brushed drivel gives me a headache.  This thread has gone absurd many, many pages ago.  I check in to find anything of substance, and mostly it's an endless circle of gritching and moaning and beyond stupid suggestions from people that have the common sense of a squirrel trying to cross the road at rush hour.

However, the above is simply the Cy Young Rule in effect.  Most hated companies means about pizz.  Facebook is an addiction in MANY peoples' lives.  Many who claim to hate the company.  Cy Young won the most games of any baseball pitcher, but also lost the most.  When you're big, you're just big.  You win bigger than anyone and you lose bigger than anyone.  It means squat.  It just means you're big.  In golf terms, Jack Nicklaus won the most majors, but also finished 2nd in the most.

If I were a moderator, I'd pee into the wind and refuse to visit this thread, too.....until it made a point worth a nickel and I got wind of it.

If I am wrong in thinking that from you quote above "the Cy Young Rule" means companies are not interested in being profitable???? this is the Squirrel crossing the road in rush hour effect. Why be in business???

What in God's Green Earth do you think WGT is?? same thing in my opinion, seems worse if you look at your profile ,,, you keep records of every credit earned, times you advance tiers, how to make shots "which I appreciate, I liked your info" but don't you think your statement is the pot calling the kettle black? My opinion :-)

Shrude ... just some info for you about 2009.    WGT sucked.   They had 1 course until May 2009 when Bethpage was released for the US Open.   There were about 5 CTTH courses. The only clubs you had were starters or tour starters.  And only free balls.   There were bugs up the butt.   There were no country clubs, no MatchPlay, no ReadyGo's, no Alt Shot, no Skins, no Blitz, in fact there were just 3 weekly and 2 monthly tournaments.   That was it.    You got zero (yes zero) information from WGT in the forums since there were no forum moderators hired until 2010 when WGTNiv came on board.   There was no view on what was next or where things were going.

The only thing they could do was run a lot of contests (which Tibbets, Nivlac and AvatarLee won) and gave away a lot of prizes so folks would play.

I understand where your going ... but please ... don't compare it to 2009.   Regardless of what you read in the forums .. it wasn't that good .. :)

    Peace
