Ok now tell me this isn't a bug, it happened to me yesterday again today, I had already posted the card for this game but according to wgt I'm still standing on the 6 th green at Oakmont, and yes all my caches have been cleared and no I don't have a problem with my computer.

This has happened long before oakmont and has nothing to do with oakmont. If you leave your profile page up behind the gameclient and you have any # of things happen such as someone leaves the game , a trophy or credits come through , receive a PM , ETC.  your profile page will stay at the point when that occurred. Also , when someone disconnects it will often put your picture beside the wrong name...Bug ?  Maybe , but has nothing to do with oakmonts arrival .

It seems strange that I have only experienced this whilst playing Oakmont, and every time I complete the match and return to the main page it is there, this has happened to me on at least 3 or 4 occasions so don't tell me that it maybe a bug, why doesn't it happen when I play any of the other courses. Or is it that they may well have fixed the bugs on the other courses.

Maybe that's because you're  in the minority..........  :-)

So was Martin Luther King once YJ, what exactly is your point? Or are you just here to antagonize, again? Is there a correlation to being in the minority and being wrong that I am unaware of?

Maybe the bug is actually within your CC. It appears that the negative , inflammatory comments all came from the same one.

Could also be a master tier thing I suppose then, huh ??

I'm not refuting the fact that you guys are experiencing a bug of some kind at Oakmont, but it sounds like a multi-player bug to me. I haven't experienced anything that you describe in a single-player, qualifying round at all.

I hope you guys can get to the bottom of this Oakmont anomaly for the sake of the other members experiencing this too.

I can't gurantee or prove anything either, but I tried to play about 4 qualifying rounds and had to quit them all.The last one was rediculous.I hit the ball or tried to hit the ball out of the 30 ot 40% rough and it went no where. After 7 ties I just quit.I think I made it all the way to the 4th hole that time...lol...Wasn't no need to send a bug report,I knew it was messed up...I figured they do too...lol

Now,a friend sent me an invite (Multi-Player) and I reluctantly accepted, seeing that it was for Oakmont.Well, I went on and accepted it and played the round and had a ball!...No meter glitches, no getting stuck in the rough, nothing but a good time. Then she asks if I want to play the back nine and I say "sure".As a matter of fact,I start telling her how I might have to rethink this whole qualifying thing and give it another try, well, she said, that's good...yada, yada, yada.

Well after that delightful round, I mozy on back in there and set up that qualifying round(hold my beer and watch this type thing). Yeah, I'm glad I quit drinking or I would of had to have bought a fifth of whiskey to try and forget about that short lived attempt.I say short lived as it was unplayable for the first hole and ONLY got worse from there on...Which was over at the third...I can't put my finger on it but something is wrong with that course...BPB is just a hard course,Hell they got a warning sign right there, but it's a fair course. You get what ya give...Not over at Oakmont...Not for me anyway...

Joined 2 other players on the front 9 on St. Andrew's and after 2 'nd hole one of the players disconnected  (SHOCKER)...anyway , me and  (kevrolet)  finished the hole and continued the round ( nice playing with you  BTW  kev ) , so as I'm on the tee-box I decide to peek at my profile page and somehow , someway, TheAceFactor has acquired kevrolet's picture , kevrolet acquired the disconnected players picture , and my picture ? Guess it  just mysteriously vanished...  BUG ?     "MAYBE SO"  andy .  Is it confined to Oakmont ?             Ummm , my guess would be   " NO "

and if you bothered to read my post properly you would have see that I said that they MAY have fixed the bug on those courses, I never stated that it didn't happen on any other courses just that it hadn't happened to me on any other course. Strange cos I  played Oakmont again last night and it happened yet again. I also played ST Andrews nothing BPB nothing and today Kiawah nothing???????????

It is amazing to me that when a player enters this forum to log a legitimate complaint there are always some, and in some cases the same, players who wish to tell them how wrong they are.

Not everyone who plays WGT takes the time to read the forums and most certainly do not take the time to make post.  In some cases these same players who ridicule others for making post actually may make others think twice about putting in a complaint or raise an issue.

It really isn't required that everytime you see a post you don't agree with that you comment on it.  Read and move on.  If you can offer constructive assistance with an issue well that's great, but if you can't why do you want to comment ?  Does it give you a sense of superiority ?  Does it make you feel big ?  If you disagree it is sometimes appropriate to respond to provide the other side of a viewpoint, that's great.  But if you are just going to harass someone for their post why don't you just move on and read the next one.  It may even be better for you to make your point in.

If you look back through the WGT forums you will notice a trend with the same players always adding their comments.  Not to be helpful or encouraging but just the opposite.

Oakmont has issues, period.  The other courses have some issues also.  But Oakmont is the most problematic at the current time.  It may be running the Open and multiplayer at the same time, it may be programing, it may be a lot of things but to deny that the course, since it's release, hasn't caused more restarts, meter issues and the such is wrong.  It may get better after the open competition is over, BPB got better.

GL to all the WGT players.

I don't care if you want to defend wgt, and if you are having no issues, you rightly should YJ - but don't shoot the messenger because you don't like the message.

No shots fired there, not even across the bow.  Opinions are fine but having that index finger pointed like a sword isn't.

Apologies to you Mr.VHL King-I didn't realize you had taken up the cause.

WGTniv posted this in a thread titled,"Bug report submission" authored by AlaCowboy.

"Hundreds of bug reports are sent in daily, however, a large percentage of what is reported as a bug is often not a bug or the report itself is not very clear.  We often receive bug reports where the text says something to the effect of "Fix This!", but no details are provided so the guys have no idea what they are supposed to look for.  Also, in many cases the same bug is reported by numerous different players.

Emails are not sent because they simply do not have the time to send them, but also because player identity is not sent along with the report.  It's not necessary for the devs to know who are you in order to locate the bug itself. They just need the shot data sent in the report.  It would not be good time management if they had to send out numerous emails to every single player for each report because they would spend their day writing emails instead of working on fixing the actual bugs.

Unfortunately, we're not going to able to share every single thing we are doing, but bug reports are certainly not ignored.  Some may take higher priority over others and low priority bugs may be visible for a while, but they will all be taken care of as soon as is feasible.

The best thing you can do is provide the most detailed bug report that you can, much like MisterWGT has shown in his example here.  The most detailed bug reports are usually the most helpful ones".
