Lining up a 9.2Ft down hill putt (2" down), I do my calculation, carefully position my putter and just as I am releasing the perfect eagle putt, the fscking caddy assigned to my game screams because he burned his fingers smoking from a crack rose.

WHY THE HELL does the game pick a 2x putter power when 1x is longer than the given shot?   This is just asinine in my opinion.

100% agreed. Asinine is a great word here.

As your are right it can suck but if you know that it does it then check. The last thing i try to do before every putt is double check my putter scale cus my mouse roller will sometimes not change scale initially. I have had the problem happen myself but its my own fault.

Yep good advice, and especially if you are checking the chip break, the scale will default back when returning to putt.

Question.....Is it easier for you to hit the ding mark from your swing line being farther away from it or when it's closer?

Notice on the putter scale below if you took your 9 ft distance -2 for downhill and were let's say on a standard green would be 6ft. Look where the 6' swing distance would be on a 10 scale vs 20 = in this case apprx. 1/2 the travel distance.

Putter swings default to the next shorter swing scale distance for your putter = easier to hit the mark. Thats why it defaulted to the 20 scale. Exception to this is the freaking fringe putts.

I wanted to post this same complaint, but than had a few holes of an Alt shot to think about it and realized....hey I'm the bonehead who didn't check.

Im tired of being a bonehead to.  Has been happening to me more times than I'd like. maybe I will start checking soon.

I do undertand what your saying though

If only when one plays back their own replay, it played back showing the swing meter so the putt (or shot) could be analyzed. I've had them WTF moments, be it short or long and would like to know what happened.

You should know that a caddie is a caddie, probably because he/she is balls at golf.
