I have two frustrations regarding WGT.

    1) First, why is there no practice putting green offered? I think a majority of WGT players would agree that putting is the most challenging part of the WGT game,  I would be happy to pay a small green fee for the opportunity just to practice putting. Does anyone agree?

    2) Why are not all the tournaments listed at one time. I have to click the "back" button as many as 12 times after it populates the list of tournaments until the one I'm looking for shows up. Anyone else frustrated over this?

The question about the lack of a practice area has never been answered by WGT as far as I know.

Just the ability to take mulligans in practice mode would do.  That way you could repeat the same shot several times and learn how the ball reacts.  As it stands now, practice mode is just a way to play without the score counting, not a way to learn how to play shots.

For example, the tee shot on #4 at Olympic gives me fits.  If I want to try a variety of clubs and trajectories from the tee to clear that tree on the left, I can't.  I get one try and would then have to start all over and play 1-3 before I get another try.

I love the game, but not providing such a basic feature so crucial to improvement (and ignoring the countless requests for it) just baffles me.

I'm not quite sure what you're doing but there is a list of all tournaments and results under the Tournaments tab at the top of this page. Also, if you're looking for the tournaments through the game client, there's a scroll bar on the right. Hope this helps.

WGT is trying to make it as real as possible. You can't do it on your golf course in real life, so they say not on this course either.

    1. Go to the top of this page and hold your mouse over 'Community'

    2. Click on Golf Courses.

    3. Click on Olympic,

    4. Click on Hole #4

Once you're done, you'll get a scorecard (and experience points etc) then repeat. Or if you only want to practice your tee shot quit after your tee shot, and repeat. You won't get experience etc but you'll get the practice.

    Edit:

Apologies, I've just checked your profile and you're a legend so what I've posted won't take you to your tees back in the Car Park (or the freeway).

Why does the tournament page in a country club shuffle the tournaments when you press the refresh button? That always seems strange to me.

It has, alas probably not the way you'd want it.

It was like "the game is easy enough, no need to give practice opportunities which would further drop the scores".

OTOH, less effective practice on the courses ensures more strokes to be spent on the precious balls.

IMHO, many answers can be found by thinking "money":

    - a practice area costs money to set it up,

    - it might drop the company's revenue (see above).

Two good reasons not to implement it.

I dare say that if they did have a practice area you would end up spending just as much money for your precious balls may even more and not learn anything that you can not learn by playing practice rounds as they are now.

One of my pet peeves doesn't affect game play, but it's still annoying. It's when you're putting and the ball creases the hole. Regardless of slope or the side of the hole I miss, the ball still "dips" the same way...defying physics.

Some don't care, most won't, but if you've noticed it, you can't help but be annoyed. It gives the feeling things are way too scripted.
