    Hi

Funny how things can change. When I started this computer game back in 2011

I found Kiawah the most easy course to play.Today I find the course very hard with a lot of tricky puts.

I totally agree. There are essentially three reasons to that

    1. I could be wrong but I think Kiawah is the course that gain the most distance going from Master tee to Legend tee (hole #13 is 100 yds longer for example if I am not wrong with the hole number).
    2. Many green grids are simply wrong and you need to remember on which hole and how wrong there are, which is a pain (at least to me).
    3. When you are Tour pro or Master, you are just happy with 4-5 birdies which is not that hard on this course which is pretty short from those tees. But when you are legend or tour legend, you need 7+ birdies to stand well in the leaderboard which is significantly harder due to the added distance and the wrong grids.

Kiawah from legend tees with high wind and championship greens is quite hard indeed.

    Regards

What has made the course harder is the additional new pins. The green immediately round many of the new pins have some wicked breaks, you need look no further than the 1st as an example. The other factor is that quite frankly some of the front and rear views you get when putting are shocking, the 15th being the worst.

Depending on which pins you get the course can be a couple of shots harder than it once was in my opinion.

I thought it was just me also. Kiawah seems harder than it ever has been, and to me St.Andy is only slightly better place to play that RSG.

As you move up, the easy course get harder and the harder courses get easier. Kiawah is tougher because of the extra distances involved, but mainly due to the poor views from the greens combined with faster green speeds.

I could well imagine one of the reasons Kiawah gets harder as you progress is the green speed increasing.  The poor mapping and nasty breaks are exaggerated by faster greens.  Add in playing your approach with a mid iron instead of a wedge and you're looking at much tougher birdie putts.

When I started out I think Kiawah was probably my favourite course, places like BPB and Oakmont were nightmares.  Now BPB is my favourite and best scoring course.  Oak is still tough but not the monster I used to think it was.
