This game should implement draws and fades. If you are left of the meter it should be a draw and if you are right of the meter it should produce a fade, instead of pulls or pushes. This will allow for players to purposely miss on the left side if they need to draw the ball around a tree, or right side if they need to fade it.

Bought this up before, no doubt some people on here will tell you to miss the 'ding' left or right, thats is correct i too wouldnt class that as a definate fade or draw!

    Agreed.  100%

This is farking CRAZY talk.  Missing the ding is not a solution to the draw/hook or fade/slice.

A proper implementation allows me to move the ball in my stance forward and backward.  At the same time, I also wish to move one foot in or one foot out to create a realistic shot like REAL gold.  MY GOD, you could even move one foot in and one foot out and create a more drastic affect on the ball based on the path of the club face.

I agree with this.  Ideally you would use the same dot you now use to put top or bottom spin on the ball to add side spin by moving the dot left or right in addition to up or down.

You're right but unfortunately, the correct way is not going to be showing up anytime soon. Like DS says, it's a broken record. However, it does work that way quite effectively on some holes. The most obvious example is BPB #2. Don't touch the aimer and pull the tee shot to the first line before the ding-the ball winds up in the fairway just as if it had curved around the tree line. You don't see a proper draw but the result is the same.

Oly #10 is where you can "slice" the shot into the fairway. Aim straight ahead left of center and miss late to the first line. No fade action you can see but the ball lands where it would if you could.  :-)

Exactly - it would allow you to hit most all shots high/low draw high/low fade depending on where you place the dot.  Bottom right quadrant = high draw e.g.  But this would probably be a non trivial addition to the game's  algorithms and physics models.

You wouldn't need to move the feet or such to achieve draw/fade. That's just one way to induce opening or closing the clubface at the instant of impact. The spin dot should be replaced by a crosshair. Up/down is backspin, left/right is open/close clubface. Missing the ding should only result in push/pull and less effective impact.

I have experimented with my own golf engine that allows these combinations of spin. It ain't that difficult.
