Team Unbeatables has played but has only sent me the front nine scorecard. Waiting to hear back on that.

Don't give up yet Hans, I have the scorecards and they tell the truth. Corwyn thought that would get a rise out of someone.

Yes you can play on Sunday.

I haven't been neglecting you folks, but I am in the process of putting all new molding in my shack. And since I am not a woodworker it is taking me a little extra time since a lot of the corners are not square.

    Corwyn:

Ya gotta get past us first, Mutts!

Well, I must say we had some fun in tough conditions at St. A's. It wasn't Cerino's best day, but his up-and-down scoring still made vital contributions to the team, and although I started slowly, when I got to the turn, OMG, it was unbelievable. Approach shots dropping in, long bombs, and delicate wedges feathered in to mere inches...

Check out my Greenshot below to get a good guess as to my final score... and the team score is just unreal!!!

I just wish Cerino had offered a prize this time around. Perhaps there was just too much scepticism in the thread... ;)

Corwyn and I lived up to our name. I was certainly Uneven and well he... ;) I pretty much missed everything important and couldn't really come to grips with the tee's and green speeds. It was just different enough from our Tough It Out Touneys to mess me up. Our approaches were shorter so I got tricked by the course to go for it on many holes but the faster green speed meant I was off the back and in trouble too many times to get birdies for the Team. Corwyn on the other hand played like a madman. I think the greenskeeper was one hole ahead of us making the holes the size of buckets for him.

I just submitted our cards to shiner via email.

Well we played our hearts out for this , but still feel we left 3 birds out there, so that gives C & C a chance.

I would have settled for xx under which may have earned us a special prize ffrom Cerino, but we fell short of that , and we had eagle chances but missed them all.

As for birdies well we both had the same amount each so again no prizes there  unless we can share a sleeve, lol.

So simple mathematics tells you we are either 2 4 6 8 10 or 12 under.

Must say we were spectacular around the turn, which is the traditional way to shoot a good score in real life at St Andrews.

Good luck guys, may the best team win.

PS. the screenshots are with you shiner , will u post them for me, otherwise I still have them somewhere on one of my computers.

I have received the back 9 scorecard from team Unbeatables and the results of the match-up between them and team Uneven Liars has been decided with team Unbeatables moving on into the final round in the winners bracket. With only one loss team Uneven Liars moves into the losers bracket for the final round for a chance at a prize.

    Match-up score was:
    Unbeatables   64
    Uneven Liars  67

I still need your partners screenshots for this round.

The scorecards will be posted under Round 3 in about a half hour from this post.

Hats off to you, Mutts & Jeff! That's some very solid scoring, and wonderful support of each other. Looking at our scores throughout the tourney, compared to all the other teams, I suspect we were still in Tough-It-Out mode, where making par and avoiding disaster was the priority. Speaking for myself, I don't think I was aggressive enough to create the required birdie chances for better-ball play. Here in particular, we just couldn't get close enough to those 'hard' pins, and until the last few holes, found nothing was dropping for us.

Best of luck to you in the final!

    Thanks Corwyn,

I just looked at the cards, fascinating and I correctly surmised that having no birdies on 16 & 18 would leave the door open for you, but we just scraped through with an excellent front 9.

Overall, as a team,  I think we are 20 under par, but I don't think either of us is better than Par individually, so it just shows what teamwork is necessary to do well in this format.

God knows what Shiner is going to dream up for the final, but he did say it would be slightly different format.

I have sent you jeff's  shots Shiner by email.

Birdierabbits want to play today, alas an appointment had to be cancelled.

We'll do our best today or tomorrow and come back then.

    Enjoy your weekend folks!

Thanks, for the heads-up alosso. I am going to take a break for a little while today. It's only 31 outside and just drove by the course and it looks playable. So I am going out to at least play 9. Should be no different than hitting starter balls here. They should be hard as a rock.
