Just finished a ready go @ St. Andrews and wanted to check the leaderboard to see how I was placed .....but no, couldn't do it. Surely after you've paid your entry fee and completed the tournament you can view the leaderboard.

You need to wait until the full 50 players have signed up to view the leaderboard

Thanks..thought that was the case. Just wanted to know...why?

Why doesn't WGT let you see the leaderboard when you've completed the tournament?

I can't see what the problem is with that

If you were able to view the leaderboard to date prior to entering you would probably find that the tournament wouldn't fill. Someone puts up a 26 early many players will just not bother entering.

I believe his idea was for the leaderboard to be visible to YOU ONLY and only AFTER you have completed your round. Although that could open the door to people warning each other, for instance, if I completed my round and saw the scores of 40 people that have played it, I could then send advise to a friend, whether or not it's a good idea for him to enter.

Yep you are most likely right Puholino, I misinterpreted what Victorharbor was asking.

OK, I'll accept that you could 'advise' others if able to view the leaderboard.

So why not just show the player (following completion of the round) where they sit on the leader board.e.g  9th, 17th, 25th etc?

It would probably take some programming, but it's not a bad idea. But for now, if you want to know where you placed when you finish your round, just wait until the RG is filled and play it then.

    OK thanks Puholino.

For some reason, the tournament closed with 42 players not 50 and leaderboard was

available today. Guess if they don't fill it before a certain time, they go ahead anyway.

The leaderboard is posted and viewable once they have 50 players sign up.  Those last few can see the leaderboard before playing their round if they wish.
