    WGTicon:
thanks for working hard on the list.

Thanks for taking the time we needed to look at the list and..

    WGTicon:
    had very productive discussions.

    WGTicon:
good news is that this is a great resource and will greatly help us in guiding our product releases.

Excellent, it seems finally one of the lists we have created (this one) has actually been looked at and discussed!

    WGTicon:
I promise to try to keep our 30-90 upcoming product releases thread updated (next update probably coming in early April), to give you the best idea as to what is coming ahead.

Again excellent and very valuable feedback. We are hearing your promise Icon and will be waiting.

Thats a hellova lot more in one post, than the Mediterranean take away kid ever did.

    WGTicon:
I can tell you one thing though: we do have plans to bring improvements to country clubs in the near future, so please stay tuned for that.

    Excellent x3
As long as it is feature improvements and not just the ability to make implement a new type of game in the tournaments.

We DESPERATELY need Tier Based tourney setup.

    alanti:
is it possible to tick the boses, agreed to, under consideration and rejected? Anything not decided could sit in the under consideration until such a time it is implemented or rejected. This is no way would imply any time frames have been set.

Thids would be nice, only to see which items we can be looking forward to eventually.

However, i can image the PM team  & icon in the meeting:

Icon- "they have been asking for these things for a long time, the community is passionate about it"

PM - " yeah we know, but if we tell them we are going to do x,y & z and then it is delayed because of a,b & c, then we get more negative threads created, more chinese whispers, more accusations of broken promises and the effort & value currently in place with their list will be forgotton"

    alanti:
give players something to look forward to when updates do occur.

Icon, I think the majority of the regulars in the community, who do pass on help and advice which in turn help alleviate some of the Community Managers tasks, will back you up and advocate the fact that although you may have indicated that their IS a plan for an item in this list to be implements, that there are NO promises or deadlines implied.
"throw the dog a bone" as such, perhaps indicate which idea are worthy and have been taken on board and indicate the definite NO's

    alanti:
This area is the one that appears to shrouded in secrecy from WGT

This is becoming more apparent. Other  software/ game developers to have a list something like "Coming Soon".

Perhaps, it is due to WGT resources not being in fact what we assume?
Maybe it is a 4 man band and all these ideas we have are just far too daunting for them to even think about right now while they are trying to make sure Merion goes off with out a hitch.
Once Merion is released then maybe then they have some breathing space and can .. well, take out the garbage, change the milk in the fridge an do some washing.

    alanti:
thanks for doing this Icon and taking it forward to the product managers.

    Yes  absolutely!
Thanks Icon for putting your neck on our chopping block and in the line of fire over there at the WGT tent.

I am glad that your open to creating better CC's and courses

Thats not what this thread is about Sir.

    DDRoss1:
G20 is a great driver, but thats it to level 94 IMO

You have the R11 at L88.

Perosnally, apart from you are in the wrong thread, you have a good driver around the corner and we are all playing with the same options as you are.

As Bruce Lee once said  "Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend."

Here is a big suggestion.... for me anyway....lol

Once you get over a x amount of Friends you can't send em PM's, unless they send you one first....  I have 260 friends at the moment and my meter is just about perfect most of the time.... If Wgt can fix this problem, it will be great :)

    WGTicon:

    Hi Everyone,

First, I wanted to say thanks for working hard on the list. I have brought this up with our product managers and we had very productive discussions. The good news is that this is a great resource and will greatly help us in guiding our product releases. The bad news is that I will not be able to comment on individual products from the list. To be honest, our deadlines changes so much that whatever I say will likely be outdated by next week. Instead of setting expectations and then not living up to it, I promise to try to keep our 30-90 upcoming product releases thread updated (next update probably coming in early April), to give you the best idea as to what is coming ahead.

I can tell you one thing though: we do have plans to bring improvements to country clubs in the near future, so please stay tuned for that.

    Thanks again :)

Thank you Icon... at least we all know that you guys are listening to us.

We have always made suggestions with everything about this game and most of those suggestions have fallen on deaf ears.

It's like Wgt is listening to a select few of people and not the overall people who play this game... or, I should say the people who make suggestions in the Forum.

There are too many times when a new thing comes out we have to play and Wgt has said...  Suggested by Wgt People....  and because I'm a Troll, looking at most of the posts...  Shaking my head, thinking... wt eff... who suggested that stupid thing...lol

This Thread is great to see what  we all think should be changed or new things to bring into the game and most of the ideas are great.

I have heard the words 'Wgt are Liistening'  too many times.....  and the only way we all can Trust Wgt is to make some of these changes we suggest.

****  I don't think "VEM" is the problem worth looking at.  I think it is the deviations caused by a "failed forgiveness roll" or a "failed precision roll".  The settings are too high, in that you can get a full club + or - and exit stage left or right.

It is these deviations that need to be toned down.

Why imo?  In real golf if your shot is short, long, left or right YOU made the mistake.  As such YOU can fix it.  In WGT you may not have made any mistake and there is no mortal way you can fix it.

****  On the "better prizes" suggestion, may I suggest WGT consider toning down their take of 20% oF premium tournament and RG sub fees?  The players are contributing the prize pool (risk) and if they beat EVERY other player they get 12% of the pool.  WGT doesn't contribute anything to the prize pool (no risk) and walks away with 20%.  That is, in the words of a famous French Philosopher, Bull$hit.

    WGTicon:

here is what I can do for you.

If you compile a list, I will comment where I can. I know that we will not be able to comment on #2 at all but I can comment whether I passed it on on if it's something we won't consider anytime soon.

First off, we all agree that better communication between wgt and the players would benefit everybody involved. With that said, it is great that icon agreed to bring the latest feature requests, put together in this thread, to "the powers that be". I sincerely believe that icon did this and that productive discussions were had.

However, i must say that i find icons response (or lack there of) to the requests somewhat disappointing, to say the least.

I realize that the list of requested features was extremely daunting and i would never expect to see all of them implemented any time soon. (some never)

Alanti and others put a lot of time into putting together a list that they thought, based on icon's own comments, would at least be told which features were passed on, and which ones would not be considered any time soon.

It's just a shame that icon was not able to comment on any individual feature requests in the affirmative or negative fashion. It kinda feels like the wgt community was left hanging, so to speak, imo.

    What you say Fore!

We know that Icon's options are limited.

Though the new guy in town, Shoe, certainly brings new elements into the forums, there's still the olde WGT principles working, promises and hope.

We can't and we don't expect insight into WGT's business plans. Still I don't quite get it why the company does not stand to their goals and plans inasmuch as to qualify the items on the list as "impossible now", "maybe later" and "we have this on the table".

At least the first qualification should be possible, stopping eternal guessing of their customers.

could it be made possible to COMPLETELY set up your own shot while waiting for others to have there's, shot time would merely be hitting the ball, basically.

Hi: It's probably been suggested as indicated in the previous threads, but I would love to see a Practice Putting Green and Driving Range.

Sorry if this has already been beat to death!!

    DDRoss1:
I am glad that your open to creating better CC's and courses, but what I dont understand is that the products your bringing out, are better for the lower level or higher level player, ie the new R1, The Nike Convert, but what about the legend in the low to mid 80 levels,

I back this guy up to, a large extent, as do many others I know. You can just play properly, zoom through the ranks armed to the teeth with the latest greatest. Thence to the tips, and suddenly it all feels very spartan with a pro shop fresh out of ideas for any real big product upgrades for some time.  I strongly feel this is an area where WGT have dropped the ball, and so should look at it to keep people intrigued in the game. Seems a win win as WGT get to up their pro shop turnover and people can stay blinged up ...win win?????...................and before anyone asks no I don't feel the need to empty my mind and be h2o like Bruce Lee, beer works just fine for me:)
