Enjoy Michel. All putters take time to adjust to, so be patient. I hope you start sinking the putts from everywhere!

That's it, i bought the rossa... I have only 37 credits left  now,  i hope that I shall become used to it. lol

With any putter what you need to do is learn the avatar movements. It is so much easier to putt with avatar movements because you can be fairly precise with you distances. Of course you could always go with putter pal. But even with putter pal I still use avatar movements. Using putter pal in conjunction with avatar movements has really helped with my distance control and made me a better putter.

I also use avatar movements. It's made gauging distance a snap. As when I played golf IRL, the importance of leaving a short second putt - assuming the first putt doesn't drop of course - is critical to my enjoyment of the game.

Enjoy the Rossa! I used the Redwood for a long time and I found that they are very similar putters. It served me well up to Master tier. I struggled with putts outside 10-12 feet, however. So I switched to the Max putter and the true roll I get with it has changed my game in a big way. When I screw the pooch and leave myself with 20-footers, I now have confidence I just might make them...and I do more often than I ever could have imagined.

using avatar positioning can be a major crotch,
as not all putters have the same avatar movements,
for example method has far less than rossa.
that means that if you want to upgrade or replace your putter,
it will be much harder to do so, if you solely depend on avatar movement.

best thing is to use (or memorize) location of the putter pal scales,
and then convert the percentage into actual feet.

for example 75% of 30 feet is 22.5,
so when you remember where the 75% bar is at,
you know that positioning the power bar at that spot
will give you a 22.5 feet roll (depending on stimpmeter speed of course).

but no matter what, anything is better than that awful free putter.

To me, the Starter putter may be the best of that set - played it long enough...

Possible helpers are printable putter scales and a ruler example for a budget Paper Pal.

I can't help Michel because I have been using the "beginner" putter (discontinued)since I started over two years ago.If anyone of you older members know of a similar putter in the pro shop, with the same scale 30-60,I would try it out .I like things simple.

Btw I've just started out putting from the reverse angle and I like it.Don't do it all the time, just when I feel confident about the line. It's a great view of the line for future references.

Good luck with your new putter Michel....

There are at least the Spider, the Redwood(s) and the Rossa with 30/60 scales.

I chose the Rossa (still lucky after a year) which has 15/30/60/90/150/300 scales. Compared to the Starter, the 90 scale is most valuable, giving low %% for the odd 30/40/50 ft putts.

    good luck michael,

only what you really need now is time and practicing. yeah, and patience also. you should to go to some flat greens, Kia or Beth (there are a few), and practice . really important thing if you want to learn fast is to hit the ball to any spot you wish, remember distance, meter situation etc. then try to return the ball to the previous position (opposite direction) - now, you know more cause you watched the path where ball moved in 1 shot. patience.

btw. alosso, new avatar picture - 1st time saw. something in the light of the next Easter?
