I have clubs of certain brands in my hands on the real courses (once the frost will cease eventually), and I move a Flash image here with my mouse, showing branding pixels and with software in the background determining the path of my ball from an array of charcteristic numbers which have nothing to do with the real thing. I giggle about the texts in this pro shop praising their real attributes, material, flex, cavity back <wg>. Those asking for "their" coveted product here, Titleist balls or Nike clubs, show in a sad way how well this promotional propaganda works in manipulating ppl.
That said, WGT's game is big fun, and yes, useful for the real game. Coming back to the real courses last summer after six months of exclusive WGT practice, I noticed how my putting had changed to the better, more aggressive and with better skills to read the breaks, even without those helpful dots :)
I just didn't get it that nobody would concede those 1 m (3.3 ft) putts to me. :o)
