Roger, I can vouch for the 500 round threshold. You'll see a drop of .2 to .4 on round 501. Even more on a sub-30 round. Once you drop your average a few points, it starts to tapper off quite a bit. A sub-30 round will only yield a .1 to .3.
It seems the average lowers faster with more consistent posted rounds like a group of 32s or 31s when you cross the 500 round threshold. My rounds were up and down, so many times a posted score of 30 or 31 wouldn't even make a change once I dropped my average a few points.
According to the list on page one, my average was 64.xx, now it's 62.xx. My average doesn't go up, but it doesn't come down much with a sub-30 round either.
