Would anyone like to comment on my new club selections i am thinking of buying ..

    The 2 criteria i need are -

    1- slow meter . no faster than what i have - R90.

2 - using cheap balls .starter or srixon .

    driver - level 81 G20 Driver - 1695 credits .

    wood - level 81 G20 Fairway wood - 695 credits .

    Irons - level 83 G20 Iron set - 2695 credits .

    wedges - level 80 cleveland 64 degree wedge - 895 credits.

    wedges - level 78 cleveland 60 degree wedge . 895 credits

    wedges - level 76 cleveland 56 degree wedge - 895 credits

    total - 7770 credits . say 8000 credits= 80 bucks . about £60 .

    all comments appreciated .

    craigswan:
2 - using cheap balls .starter or srixon .

The new Taylor Made Lethal ball  has the same distance as the Srixon distance ball the same spin as the Srixon spin ball and has the same durability as both.Plus 1/2 dot more feel and is only 70 credits more than the spin ball and only 50 credits more than the distance ball. That extra feel might allow you to go with a slightly faster meter. It really performs well. So that could be an option for you.

I'd go for the top of the range ATV wedges, slower meter that matches the G20's. They are more expensive though.

for the same price of the cleveland wedges, you should consider the max wedges...i rented both types and found the max to have a smoother meter action.

I think your choices are good, just a couple of things...

Buy the G20's as a set instead of individually, you'll save 600cr there and get a free hybrid which you can sell back if you like.

The ball is not bad, as was said, you may want to look at the new lethal, or even better the Callaway slow meter ball. It's 100cr more but will slow your meter down quite a bit.

As for the wedges, you can't go wrong with the clevelands. They will take some getting used to but when you do, they're great.

    Good Luck

EDIT: Just noticed that you are at level 94, why are you not considering the R11's?

Craig, if you can handle the driver and irons you now have with a starter ball you can certainly handle the rlls irons, driver, g20 3 wood and cleveland wedges. Also the nike putter at lvl 71 with its slow meter is very hard to beat. With the new slower balls these clubs should be not problem for you. The driver will give yo 20+ yards. The irons will get you miles closer to the pin and the nike putter will help you make more putts. After you get use to the clevelands the 60 and 80 will become 1 yard or less clubs. Enjoy.

Yep, agree with lonnie...the R11's aren't much faster than your current irons. That extra 10 yards on the 3i will also make quite a difference when you reach legend.

    A side note:

The new "Lethal" has the same price as the lvl33 Cally, 250 crs, and half a dot less in distance and a full dot less in spin. Thus the Lethal can only be good for those below lvl 33 - unless it has some secret characteristics.

If you like a slow meter, then get the G20s You dont need the Clevelands , get the Pings , they cost a lot less, and are just as good.I play the Srixons 11+ and its a decent ball as well. You can buy the most expensive clubs in the shop, but  its not going to make you play better. So the most important question, is , what are you trying to do? Are you playing for fun , and a casual player, or are you going to play the premium tourneys , and RGs ? How serious is this game too you ? If you are going to throw 80 bucks of your hard earned money at this game , then the next question is , Have you lost your mind ? If the credits come from surveys and videos , then fine. But if this is an out of pocket expense , you really need to get a grip.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 So any way, its time for a serious evaluation of the game , and yourself. The selections that you make , are only going to affect you. Only you will ever have to play with your clubs, so take your time , and put some thought into it. Hope this helps. Happy Swinging   P.S. Beware the Sales Reps , they will sell you the moon.;)
