    Hello WGT-Community,

at first I was surprised and kinda pleased I guess, but now I've realized that this is 1) too early for me and 2) statistically wrong for me to move up to Legend-tier.

And honestly, I've kind of lost the fun of playing this game since moving up.

I was stuck at Master-Tier for ages (got master lvl 45-ish) until finally moving up to Tour Master 2 weeks ago.

And then I got to Legend-Tier within ~10 days? Thats ridiculous.

Check my Score-History, I've played exactly 20 Stroke rounds/Stroke Tournaments since moving up to Tour-Master, and then when I finally played a good Tour-Master only ready-go and placed 2nd with a score of 61. which reduced my avg. nothing happened until the tournament actually ended and I got the Crystal standing Award and surprisingly got moved up to Legend in the middle of a game.

So, with 20 Ranked rounds and an avg. of 61,72 I got moved up to Legend-tier somehow... after playing one good tournament for once..

Now I can forget playing tournaments or anything at all ( matchplay, stroke, even alternative is a joke now tee-ing off against tour pro's and master/tour-master's)
I've lost all my credits (2k-ish) since turning legend when I actually thought it wouldn't affect my game "too much", which was obviously not the case.

So, please, someone of WGT please explain to me and others how and why I got moved up without having the required ranked stroke's (60 right?) and without having the required avg (61.00)....

    best regards...

Thanks to all the sandbaggers in the past WGT has it set that if you beat Legends in head to head matches you move up and also if you place well in the RG's. Fair ? No . But the community asked for it and man o man do we have it :( .

I never really played RG's so I got to Legend the hard way but give it a little time you will adjust. The only problem is if you are not a high enough level to get the longer Irons that is where it is so not fair . If WGT is gonna force you to be a legend then they should give yall access to the better equipment also.

At level 81 that is not a problem for you.

    They won't probably.

At 61.72, obviously one match win against a Legend and 800 crs from a RG (both 4-2,  the day you tiered up) were enough to overcome the limits.

Level 83 @255,000 XPs will release the full G20 set for you.

    Happy hitting!

Even though this thread is some months old, I would like to jump on and agree to what has been written before.

I've been TM for months and I did ok, nothing more. That is, I recently had a very good 2nd round (29) in a multiround tournament and came in 2nd place in one other tournament. All other results as TM were let's say average: rounds of 2-4 under par, some rankings in the 40s and many others beyond the magic 70th place. I never ever played RGs and I beat only one Legend in a match game.

I am not really complaining. It's just that I do NOT feel obliged to call myself a legend. Apart from the two results mentioned above I was ALWAYS far from winning any tournament! In my opinion, there should be a minimum of reaches rankings in tournaments to advance to this tier.

    What do you think??

    Best,

    Tim

I went up to Legend when my Avg was 64.24 !! Put in 2 good scores in WGT tourneys and I had done 50+ ranked rounds. Was still T/M when I logged off, came on the next day and I was up to legend !!! Some mutterings and various other choice remarks ensued, was obviously not really ready for the move up. I had a bad case of ''promotion blues'' for a while, but got over it.

Fortunately I was on Lvl 92 and had the top lvl G20's,but still had to adjust. I have and am enjoying the game. Average is only 67.73,but I am content. I will never be a really good legend, but I am enjoying the game,is that not what this is all about.

Moral is just get on with it and accept what WGT does re Tiers, and learn the new game, and above all enjoy yourself. It is just not worth torturing yourself over a computer game.

I had a 62.2 average when I got moved to legend, it also took 2 weeks to get from Master to Legend - basically as soon as I got the lvl 59 G20s. It was the reaming of RGs that did it. I had a good week, made about 2k credits and was planning a good bit of sandbagging but got caught and kicked up. Probably cost me 10k+ credits :(

Why? I got to Legend at level 70 - which at the time meant I couldn't even make the fairways with a headwind and holes like St A. 17 were incredibly difficult - no clubs cutting it from the legend tee and no fairways until the G20 lvl 81 driver.

It takes sometime to adjust to the Legend Tee definitely, my Average went as high at 71 when I first got there, but now, finally... play like a Legend and usually hit low 30s in every round.

Why? You are 1 level from level 90, I have only just got their myself and will start again in RGs now that I have been able to get the gear to properly compete.

Promotion blues are common but if you can get the R11 irons (at 90) and SLDR Taylor-made driver and you will do fine.

No sandbagging under level 90, that's what appears to have happened.

Get to level 90 and then strive for the big clubs, and compete on an even playing field.

Sympathy is between shite and syphilis in the dictionary.

I don't think it was unreasonable considering when I got to Legend there were no clubs available to really compete from the Legend at the time at just level 70.

If they took my suggestion and made the clubs available based on tier and not just on level then sandbagging would not exist...
