    MBaggese:

    I'm giddy like a 12YO, if I get a 59.

    Ya effers rock!

I'm with you MB. Anything under 60 and I dance. These folks shooting 49 are amazing. The Tee Box doesn't matter it's how they control their nerves on that last putt for 49 I have no idea. Rock out and enjoy it!!!

Well done to the 49's, closest i've got is a 51 on St Andrews from master tees. but one snag, WGT complain that scores are getting  too low, yet they give the best players on WGT 2 x tournaments in a month from the baby tees.  yes, one can be fun and a laugh from the grind of long tees, but 2 in a month?  Where's WGT's logic If they dont want extremely low scores??

For Legend tournies the logic is clear: to tier up upper Legends ASAP to make competition both at TL and Legend levels less tough. Why they do it at the TL level is less clear - maybe to cover up the reason of doing that for Legends? Or to obtain data directly comparing Legends and TLs in the environment of toughest stakes (as both Cabo 1000s are identical...)

excellent scores lads very fine shooting indeed...

but  one can only think and i hope i am wrong, is wgt going in the same way tigerwoods on the xbox.

i did sign up to world golf tour the most realistic golf game..

i may get alot of grief here for my post and dont mean any harm nor am i having a go at the elite players as myself know how difficult shooting a 49 is.

where is this game going in the future ?

the equipment is a worry to me as well, what i mean is

where are wgt going next ?

how can they keep improving balls, clubs, shot pals lol.....

just dont want to see this site turn into a mickey mouse site

    happy hitting

    :)

I agree Mick, it is a little worrying. All i can say is, if the equipment is going to continue to get better then the courses need to get harder.

Maybe the answer is to role out the uneven lies for every round. I know some of the shots are not realistic to real golf but it would certainly put a premium on accuracy to avoid those severely sloped lies.

Agree too, as this pace, with new tools (equipment)  the 49 will soon be irrelevant and average.

Hope all ranked matches will be played on uneven lies pretty soon. At least shots from UL are not as predictable as the ones from nomal lies....and I know many top playres do not like playing in any other then "predictable" shots.

Watching the Masters tonight it's barely even the same sport we're playing on here. They're delighted to hit the green and have a 30 footer for birdie and we're annoyed if our birdie putt is outside of 10 ft.

I've said before that uneven lies are part of the solution but there also needs to be way less spin.

Well if u want realism - play with starter clubs and balls - dare say that will cut the scores - otherwise accept that this is a game - the more u play the better u get and stop bleating.....

and well done those 49's - I aspire to join the club

Wouldn't you prefer to feel a sense of achievement for breaking 70 rather than 60?

I run a starter-club tournament in my CC and it's a load of fun but if you want to enter RGs you have to shoot stupid scores.

UNEVEN LIES ONLY IN THE FOR CREDIT MATCHES NEVER SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN ANYTHING THAT IS A NON CREDIT GAME................

100% agree and though about the same last night watching The Masters.

This game is so bloody predictable that you fell almost ashamed when submitting a 65 or a 33 and most legends simply WD before submitting the score.

I really really hope WGT fix the uneven lies soon and at least half of the official tournaments are played on uneven lies.

Many tips have been posted about playing uneven lies, one thing that is clear is that you need to "plan" where to land on the fairway, not just anywhere and be happy being on green in the approach not matter how far you are from the hole....just like in The Masters.
