I havnt played in like 2 years, got back into it today ( work huh ) And im wondering what clubs on a budget will give a good bang for buck? I think im still using starter stuff, and my callaway balls ( they helped alot ) are about to run out.

    Any tips?

It really depends on what the budget is. To be honest I would wait till the raptures or G20s are available - it doesn't take long to level up playing daily.

Also I would move to a cheaper ball like the Tour SD - the starters clubs will not get the benefit of a ball like the Cally.

Finally if you can ait till the better clubs are available, consider getting 2 or preferably 3 wedges - this will help your scoring immediately.

So just level up, and once i can get the better clubs buy them, then work on lowering my score?

That's my recommendation If you were to buy clubs now, yes you should see an improvement in your scores, but the downside is you will outgrow the clubs when you get to the next Tier and therefore wasted a lot of credits. If you can wait till level 59, the G20s can take you all the way to legend. It may seem a long way away. The Raptures are level 48  but these will not take you as far as they are not high trajectory clubs like theG20s.

If it was me, 3 wedges that will fit in with your desired Irons (work your way back to have evenly spaced clubs) and then a putter. These are the clubs that help you score well.

Obviously if you have credits/cash to burn yes by all means upgrade and again depends on the meter speed you can handle, but the R11s are good but will take you no further than Master.

Personally I would take your time, level up and learn the game, in particular the short game. try all sorts of shots and see how they work. Obviously the starters clubs will not allow much, if any spin - this is where the wedges are worth their weight in gold and a cheap way to improve.

    Hope it helps.

Alanti gives good advice. The clubs that help you lower your scores most on here are wedges but you need 3 evenly spaced ones, you won't need a hybrid.

So im hoping i made the right choice in wedges. Based off what you guys said, and look at the g20's.

I bought 3 clevland wdges 52 60 and 64. From 100 yards in i will admit i have seen great improvements, now i just gotta learn to how to hold putts. Seem to miss 6 birdie chances in a row, then bogey the next 3.

The Clevelands are great wedges, and can spin a huge amount with a decent ball so will take getting used to but this game is always a learning curve.

The other thing I would suggest is find a CC as often members will offer advice to each other, plus you get more XP to level up by playing tournaments. Certainly at the CC I am a member of I always give advice to our members and happy to play with any member even though it is a small club.

Good luck sir. You'll always find good advice on here. A lot of people won't take it though, they blunder along then come on here to blame WGT.
